exec: task_spawn() returns either 0 or 1 (not the task ID on success).
As such try_exec() becomes an unsigned int and we don't unconditionally
return the value of task_spawn (fixes bogus failures).

As a modern OS we just include what people actually use, with full compatibility for
legacy ports that still use the original.
