4117 5768 d 5 h decky /trunk/ arm32: update for the new scheme of device drivers and keyboard/serial modules
streamline arm32 port (as GXemul is still the only machine supported), more cleanup is needed

3973 5781 d 17 h decky /trunk/kernel/ kernel memory management revisited (phase 2): map physical memory according to zones
- ia32: register reserved and ACPI zones
- pareas are now used only for mapping of present physical memory (hw_area() is gone)
- firmware zones and physical addresses outside any zones are allowed to be mapped generally
- fix nasty antient bug in zones_insert_zone()

3940 5788 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/ make hw_area API more generic
this allows mapping of EGA VRAM on ia32/amd64

3908 5792 d 10 h decky /trunk/ overhaul pareas: use one single physical area for the physical address space not belonging to physical memory
3790 5831 d 17 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/ Make newlines in panic messages consistent. Add periods at end of messages so that it is obvious whether they are printed entirely.
2465 6411 d 14 h jermar /trunk/ Merge arm32 into trunk.
2128 6527 d 10 h jermar /trunk/ Add arm32 architecture. The 32 suffix is used to specify that 16-bit Thumb
instructions are not used. The arm32 code is mostly composed of placeholders
that need to be replaced by real implementation. So far, the arm32 tree
only compiles. If run under GXEmul simulator, an infinit loop at the
kernel entry point will be entered.
