4668 5634 d 0 h trochtova /branches/dd/ dd branch synchronized with trunk (revision 4667)
4156 5762 d 5 h trochtova /branches/dd/ changes in trunk (rev 4155) merged into dd branch
4055 5773 d 7 h trochtova /branches/dd/ changes in trunk (rev 4054) merged into dd branch
3022 6056 d 10 h decky /branches/dd/ device drivers branch
2725 6169 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/ remove config.memory_size, get_memory_size() and memory_init.{c|d}
the amount of available memory can be calculated from the sizes of the zones
add FRAMES2SIZE, SIZE2KB and SIZE2MB functions/macros (code readability)

2610 6251 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ Support for six syscall arguments for sparc64.
There is a minor stability issue which needs to be fixed (kernel panics upon entering kconsole from the
console task).

2462 6414 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Replace gcc-specific __FUNCTION__ with C99 __func__.
suncc's xregs=no%float can be used only on sparc64.

2460 6414 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Better infrastructure for building with different compilers.
Separate ICC_CFLAGS added, SUNCC_CFLAGS extended.

2454 6414 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ A bit of infrastructure for building with different compilers.
CFLAGS split into GCC_CFLAGS and SUNCC_CFLAGS.
As of now, there are no separate ICC_CFLAGS, but can be easily added.

2141 6484 d 21 h jermar /trunk/ The Ultimate Solution To Illegal Virtual Aliases.
It is better to avoid them completely than to fight them.
Switch the sparc64 port to 16K pages. The TLBs and TSBs
continue to operate with 8K pages only. Page tables and
other generic parts operate with 16K pages.

Because the MMU doesn't support 16K directly, each 16K
page is emulated by a pair of 8K pages. With 16K pages,
illegal aliases cannot be created in 16K D-cache.

2125 6529 d 1 h decky /trunk/ experimental support for Objective C
(disabled by default)

2071 6554 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2009 6597 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Initial support for handling illegal virtual aliases on sparc64.
2008 6600 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Add dcache_flush() function that flushes D-Cache on sparc64.
1911 6656 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add support for interrupt mapping in the Sabre PCI controller.
Add support for PCI and EBUS interrupt mapping via the OpenFirmware device tree.
Unfortunatelly, the code is not capable enough to earn single ns16550 interrupt.
I suspect something needs to be enabled in the EBUS registers.

1903 6666 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ SMP stuff for sparc64.
Almost complete except for IPIs.
The absence of IPI support deadlocks
the kernel when more CPUs are configured.

1897 6670 d 7 h jermar /trunk/ Convert sparc64 framebuffer code to configure from the OpenFirmware device tree memory representation.
1896 6670 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Convert sparc64 to detect keyboard and determine
its physical address by walking the memory representation
of the OpenFirmware device tree.

Add bus-specific functions that know how to apply the
"ranges" property to one component of the "reg" property.
Buses supported so far include FHC, EBUS and PCI.

1895 6673 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ More ofw_tree work and fixes.
Add ofw_tree_lookup().
Every ofw_tree_node now also contains a disambigued name which is essential for tree lookups.

1891 6674 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ sparc64 work:
- Experimental support for TSB (Translation Storage Buffer).
