4581 6031 d 21 h mejdrech /branches/network/ Net: synchronized with trunk rev.4580
3386 6328 d 23 h decky /branches/network/ add new network branch (copy of current trunk)
3222 6385 d 23 h svoboda /trunk/ Merge program-loader related stuff from dynload branch to trunk. (huge)
2541 6671 d 3 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Header cleanup.
Move off_t, size_t and ssize_t into sys/types.h.
Get rid off the non-standard and dummy types.h.

2479 6767 d 2 h jermar /trunk/ New, better-structured, directory layout for uspace.
2141 6854 d 15 h jermar /trunk/ The Ultimate Solution To Illegal Virtual Aliases.
It is better to avoid them completely than to fight them.
Switch the sparc64 port to 16K pages. The TLBs and TSBs
continue to operate with 8K pages only. Page tables and
other generic parts operate with 16K pages.

Because the MMU doesn't support 16K directly, each 16K
page is emulated by a pair of 8K pages. With 16K pages,
illegal aliases cannot be created in 16K D-cache.

2075 6922 d 18 h jermar /trunk/uspace/libc/generic/ Remove left over debugging stuff.
2071 6923 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2015 6962 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

1868 7058 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work.
- the syscall wrapper needs to use the "memory"
clobber specifier to prevent over-optimization.
- on sparc64, the user address space spans the whole
64-bit space and therefore the macro
USER_ADDRESS_SPACE_SIZE_ARCH, as it was defined,
overflows to 0
- stop using USER_ADDRESS_SPACE_SIZE_ARCH and define
MAX_HEAP_SIZE instead
- in our situation when kernel and user address spaces
are separate, the G (global) bit cannot be used
(there is no point in it anymore)
- add the DEBUG() macro to stdio.h; DEBUG() uses
SYS_IO and is a good debugging tool for getting
early userspace to work

1787 7113 d 21 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1719 7138 d 18 h decky /uspace/trunk/ big code cleanup, compile with -Wall -Werror to enforce better coding
there is currently one warning that requires attention, please review
