4605 5608 d 15 h decky /branches/snapshot/ add task snapshoting branch
4313 5680 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Convert sgcn to the new HID wiring mechanism.
4311 5680 d 16 h decky /trunk/ change the way how input devices are wired together according to ticket #44
(also the proposal http://lists.modry.cz/cgi-bin/private/helenos-devel/2009-March/002507.html)

4220 5698 d 21 h decky /trunk/kernel/ update for string changes
4111 5720 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Update the SGCN driver to match the latest character I/O changes.
4071 5721 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Some additional fixes to the sgcn driver.
4070 5721 d 12 h rimsky /trunk/ SGCN driver modified to reflect the new keyboard driver architecture. Making the Serengeti bootable image smaller by not including some servers/applications.
3961 5738 d 14 h jermar /trunk/ Unbreak sparc64.
Due to the lack of userspace bus drivers for the z8530 and ns16550,
we are currently handling exactly one interrupt from these devices
in userspace.

3880 5748 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ simplify configuration
introduce arch_construct_function and inb/outb (sometimes empty) on all platforms
various code cleanup

3740 5797 d 12 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Fix typo.
3736 5798 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ refresh kernel console during grab on sparc64
3672 5817 d 9 h jermar /trunk/ Merge sparc branch to trunk.
3655 5823 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add additional members to the irq_t structure so that an interrupt-driven driver
does not need to know how to clear the level interrupt. The z8530 was modified
in this way and is much more generic. The ns16550 driver has also been modified,
but awaits testing. The sparc64 interrupt mapping and dispatch code is now using
the new info and calls the clear-interrupt-routine itself.

3654 5823 d 11 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ After my effort yesterday, there are two rival psycho drivers.
Merge the two and remove the newer one.

3647 5824 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Improvized Psycho driver.
3577 5841 d 21 h vana /trunk/kernel/ Support for serial port console on IA64 as a compensation for keyboard - based on SPARC ns16550 driver
2510 6274 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Experimental support for the cgsix framebuffer, which is found on old Ultra 1
worksations, and the SBUS bus and devices. Not tested.

2089 6494 d 16 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2071 6505 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
1984 6564 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work:
- untested support for Psycho PCI controller

1921 6600 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Changes in ns16550 and z8530 drivers.
Add some stuff for IRQ notifications to irq_t.

1911 6608 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add support for interrupt mapping in the Sabre PCI controller.
Add support for PCI and EBUS interrupt mapping via the OpenFirmware device tree.
Unfortunatelly, the code is not capable enough to earn single ns16550 interrupt.
I suspect something needs to be enabled in the EBUS registers.

1910 6611 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Rename INO to INR, for the sake of consistency with manuals.
1909 6612 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ Extend the OFW device tree node with a void pointer. The boot loader is
supposed to reset all pointers in all nodes. The kernel uses the pointer
to recognize that a particular device has already been visited and initialized.

Read interrupt mapping from the OFW device tree for FHC devices (z8530) and
EBUS devices (ns16550). In case of FHC devices, remove hardwired values from
the code and use only values read from the tree. FHC initialization is started
when a FHC device wants to map its interrupt. In case of EBUS devices, map
the interrupt to INO. Interrupt enabling in the interrupt controller for that
specific interrupt is not implemented yet.

1897 6621 d 16 h jermar /trunk/ Convert sparc64 framebuffer code to configure from the OpenFirmware device tree memory representation.
1896 6622 d 7 h jermar /trunk/ Convert sparc64 to detect keyboard and determine
its physical address by walking the memory representation
of the OpenFirmware device tree.

Add bus-specific functions that know how to apply the
"ranges" property to one component of the "reg" property.
Buses supported so far include FHC, EBUS and PCI.

1881 6632 d 16 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work:
- find a CPU node and read its clock_frequency attribute
- implement asm_delay_loop()
- set TICK_COMPARE register according to processor frequency
- small improvements at random places

OpenFirmware work:
- two new functions for walking the device tree

Generic boot loader work:
- added basic string functions

Usual pile of indentation and formatting fixes.

1875 6637 d 9 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work.
- Changes to enable userspace keyboard drivers.
- Fix z8530 initialization (i.e. clear any pending Tx interrupts).
- Experimental support for framebuffers with inverted colors.

1860 6644 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ A lot of untested sparc64 stuff:
- Write ASID to hardware when a thread is about to run in userspace.
- Add userspace() and switch_to_userspace() functions.
- Handle special cases when the userspace spill/fill handler causes MMU trap.
- Resolve some TODOs in the existing sparc64 code.
- sparc64 has now C99 compliant header guards.
- Formatting and indentation fixes.

1849 6658 d 17 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ sparc64 work.
interrupt_vector trap experimental handling.
Minimal reverse-engineered FireHose Controller driver (documentation needed!).
Keyboard on Sun Enterprise is now interrupt driven. Keyboard on Sun Ultra
is still polled.

1848 6664 d 19 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Rework the z8530 driver so that it is based on z8530 specification rather
than on accidental and limited "compatibility" with i8042.

1844 6666 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add an option to compile the sparc64 kernel for Ultra 5 or Enterprise E6500.
Basic keyboard support (polling) based on ns16550 serial port (deployed on Ultra).

1842 6666 d 16 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ i8042 and z8530 separated, the tree compiles again.
Now there is some duplicated code in i8042.c and z8530.c,
but that can be eliminated in slower pace.

1841 6666 d 17 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Start reorganization of different keyboard drivers.
What seemed like a screwed i8042 chip appears to be
Zilog 8530.

The repository won't compile now. To be fixed in next commits.

1790 6693 d 11 h jermar /trunk/ Remove OpenFirmware calls from kernel/ entirely.

Switch the sparc64 port to use bootinfo.

Copy memcpy from boot/ to sparc64 kernel/ and
adjust it for memcpy_from/to_uspace.

1787 6695 d 11 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1784 6696 d 8 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Sync OpenFirmware functionality with boot.
Random cleanup.

1780 6702 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1702 6723 d 15 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1410 6743 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/sparc64/ Modify sparc64 to choose optimal page size in each invocation of hw_map().
Use hw_map() to map keyboard device memory.
