4153 5870 d 18 h mejdrech /branches/network/ Networking: merged with trunk changes
3386 6066 d 21 h decky /branches/network/ add new network branch (copy of current trunk)
3186 6138 d 19 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Support for active mutexes. Active mutexes implement busy waiting, pretty much
in the same way as spinlocks, but can be passed to condition variables, which is
the motivation for this enhancement.

3059 6158 d 23 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/ proper printf formatting
2089 6651 d 0 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2087 6651 d 20 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentaion and formatting changes even Martin will like :-)
2071 6661 d 17 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
1888 6786 d 20 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1787 6851 d 19 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6858 d 20 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1757 6873 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup of comments.
1702 6879 d 23 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1502 6891 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace nonblocking argument of waitq_sleep_timeout with flags that specify mode of operation.
Now a flag can be used to specify interruptible sleep.
Modify waitq_interrupt_sleep() to only interrupt threads that used this flag.

1248 6926 d 20 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add some @file doxygen comments and improve already existing comments.
1229 6930 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Remove the outdated TODO file.
Improve doxygen comments here and there.

788 7007 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move list and fifo data types to adt/.
625 7059 d 21 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ We are now almost -Wall clean.
- redefined atomic_t
- deleted many, many unused variables
- some minor code cleanups found using compiler warning.

623 7060 d 3 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add SPINLOCK_DECLARE and SPINLOCK_INITIALIZE macros.
SPINLOCK_DECLARE is to be used instead of direct spinlock_t declarations
in dynamically allocated structures on which spinlock_initialize() is called after
their creation.
SPINLOCK_INITIALIZE is to be used instead of direct spinlock_t declarations
of global spinlocks. It declares and initializes the spinlock.
Moreover, both macros are empty on UP so that -Wall warnings about unused structures
get supressed.

557 7068 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add comments describing locking rules for some locks.
Cleanup.

552 7068 d 15 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Named spinlocks
534 7070 d 18 h jermar / Rename HelenOS/SPARTAN to HelenOS/kernel again.
532 7070 d 18 h jermar / Revert renaming of HelenOS/SPARTAN to HelenOS/kernel because of important pending patch.
501 7082 d 22 h jermar / Rename HelenOS/SPARTAN to HelenOS/kernel.
430 7103 d 15 h jermar /SPARTAN/trunk/ Move src/ and include/ to generic.
413 7118 d 14 h jermar /SPARTAN/trunk/ Rename cpu_priority_{high|low|restore|read} functions to interrupts_{disable|enable|restore|read}.
Rename pri_t to ipl_t (Interrupt Priority Level).
Rename thread_t::pri to thread_t::priority.

385 7133 d 20 h jermar /SPARTAN/trunk/src/synch/ Doxygen-style comments for rwlock.c.
153 7189 d 14 h jermar /SPARTAN/trunk/ Add memory barriers into spinlock_*().
Implement CS_{ENTER|LEAVE}_BARRIER() for IA-32 (no-op).
Provide incomplete CS_{ENTER|LEAVE}_BARRIER() macros for IA-64 and MIPS as well.

Small changes here and there.

68 7277 d 18 h decky /SPARTAN/trunk/ NDEBUG debug symbol, ASSERT debug macro, fancier panic() in debug mode
indentation fixes, ASSERTs

15 7309 d 19 h jermar /SPARTAN/trunk/ Introduce macros CPU, THREAD, TASK and use them to replace the->cpu, the->thread, the->task.
Later on, this will make it possible to reference *current* cpu, thread and/or task without the aid from virtual memory.

1 7359 d 20 h jermar /SPARTAN/ Initial import
