2860 6046 d 22 h cejka /trunk/ Context handling unified for sparc64.
2798 6058 d 21 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Replace all endian.h in uspace with a copy of the kernel's respective byteorder.h.
2610 6198 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ Support for six syscall arguments for sparc64.
There is a minor stability issue which needs to be fixed (kernel panics upon entering kconsole from the
console task).

2586 6214 d 19 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ Unify implementations of TLS variant I and variant II __alloc_tls() and
__free_tls_arch().

2581 6216 d 21 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ For architectures that make use of TLS variant II (i.e. amd64, ia32 and
sparc64), fix the way TLS and TCB is allocated. Now, TLS is allocated using
memalign() with the alignment specified in _tls_alignment. Size of TLS data
itself is rounded up to be a multiple of _tls_alignment.

2580 6216 d 21 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/arch/ In all architectures' uspace linker scripts, define the _tls_alignment symbol.
2541 6248 d 5 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Header cleanup.
Move off_t, size_t and ssize_t into sys/types.h.
Get rid off the non-standard and dummy types.h.

2528 6258 d 0 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ Modify parts of the build system and libc to support building applications on
paths with differing distances from lib/libc (e.g. uspace/srv/ns and
uspace/srv/fs/fat).

2482 6339 d 17 h jermar /trunk/ Goodbye pseudo threads, welcome fibrils.
The renaming might still be incomplete.

2479 6344 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ New, better-structured, directory layout for uspace.
2229 6419 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ Revert some of the changes introduced in revision 2209.
I think it is not correct to remove serialization of pseudo threads in printf_core.c.
With thread-level futex serialization, several pseudo threads running in one thread could easily deadlock
the task.

Add a dedicated futex serialization to thread1.c test only.

2192 6422 d 3 h decky /trunk/uspace/libc/arch/sparc64/include/ fix uspace atomic_add according kernel code
2141 6431 d 18 h jermar /trunk/ The Ultimate Solution To Illegal Virtual Aliases.
It is better to avoid them completely than to fight them.
Switch the sparc64 port to 16K pages. The TLBs and TSBs
continue to operate with 8K pages only. Page tables and
other generic parts operate with 16K pages.

Because the MMU doesn't support 16K directly, each 16K
page is emulated by a pair of 8K pages. With 16K pages,
illegal aliases cannot be created in 16K D-cache.

2082 6496 d 5 h decky /trunk/ __asm__ __volatile__ -> asm volatile
2071 6500 d 21 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2061 6519 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ Improve comments and fix formatting in (sparc64) TLS implementation.
Improve some comments and formatting in sparc64 uspace thread library
code.

Update required msim version.

2025 6537 d 18 h jermar /trunk/ Coding style fixes.
2015 6539 d 21 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

1890 6622 d 6 h jermar /trunk/ - Create a dedicated slab cache for as_t objects and switch from malloc/free to slab_alloc/slab_free for
them.

- Slightly fix and improve both the kernel and userspace atomic_add() on sparc64.

- More TSB work on the sparc64 front.

1888 6626 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1868 6635 d 3 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work.
- the syscall wrapper needs to use the "memory"
clobber specifier to prevent over-optimization.
- on sparc64, the user address space spans the whole
64-bit space and therefore the macro
USER_ADDRESS_SPACE_SIZE_ARCH, as it was defined,
overflows to 0
- stop using USER_ADDRESS_SPACE_SIZE_ARCH and define
MAX_HEAP_SIZE instead
- in our situation when kernel and user address spaces
are separate, the G (global) bit cannot be used
(there is no point in it anymore)
- add the DEBUG() macro to stdio.h; DEBUG() uses
SYS_IO and is a good debugging tool for getting
early userspace to work

1866 6635 d 21 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Indentation and formatting facelift for libc.
Libc headers now have C99 compliant guards.

1864 6636 d 18 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 update.
- Prototype userspace layer implementation that
at least relates to sparc64 and compiles cleanly.
- Fixes for kernel's preemptible_handler and code
related to running userspace.
- Enable userspace. Several dozen instructions
are now run in userspace! We are pretty near
the userspace milestone for sparc64.

1863 6638 d 21 h jermar /trunk/ Allow architectures to decide between inlined and not inlined version of syscall wrapper.
Implement inlined syscall wrapper for sparc64.

1797 6685 d 18 h decky /trunk/uspace/ dummy Sparc64 uspace support (it just compiles)
