4605 5610 d 1 h decky /branches/snapshot/ add task snapshoting branch
4311 5682 d 2 h decky /trunk/ change the way how input devices are wired together according to ticket #44
(also the proposal http://lists.modry.cz/cgi-bin/private/helenos-devel/2009-March/002507.html)

4228 5699 d 14 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/src/kbrd/ fix wrong bounds checking
4223 5699 d 23 h decky /trunk/kernel/ represent special keystrokes (cursor arrows, page up/down, delete, etc.) as appropriate Unicode characters
do not parse ANSI control sequences in kconsole, but in serial line driver

4092 5721 d 21 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/ wire keyboard/serial module and device drivers in a more obvious way
(first a device driver is initialized and then it is connected to the generic module)

4042 5726 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Complete emancipation of kernel serial controller drivers (i8042, ns16550 and
z8530). Provide a common keyboard module for PC and Sun keyboards. The serial
line module is still to follow.

3877 5749 d 19 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/ remove (almost all) platform dependent code from drivers
3714 5806 d 22 h decky /trunk/kernel/ do not waist resources if no keyboard driver is used
3577 5843 d 7 h vana /trunk/kernel/ Support for serial port console on IA64 as a compensation for keyboard - based on SPARC ns16550 driver
2572 6246 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Remove duplicit implementation of strlen() in kernel, rename is_digit(),
is_white() and co. to their standard names (e.g. isdigit(), isspace()) and
remove duplicit implementation of isdigit(). Fix cstyle in kernel printf()
implementation.

2089 6496 d 1 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2071 6506 d 18 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
1896 6623 d 17 h jermar /trunk/ Convert sparc64 to detect keyboard and determine
its physical address by walking the memory representation
of the OpenFirmware device tree.

Add bus-specific functions that know how to apply the
"ranges" property to one component of the "reg" property.
Buses supported so far include FHC, EBUS and PCI.

1875 6638 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work.
- Changes to enable userspace keyboard drivers.
- Fix z8530 initialization (i.e. clear any pending Tx interrupts).
- Experimental support for framebuffers with inverted colors.

1844 6667 d 20 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add an option to compile the sparc64 kernel for Ultra 5 or Enterprise E6500.
Basic keyboard support (polling) based on ns16550 serial port (deployed on Ultra).

1843 6667 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/genarch/ Move code duplicated in i8042.c and z8530.c to key.c.
1842 6668 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ i8042 and z8530 separated, the tree compiles again.
Now there is some duplicated code in i8042.c and z8530.c,
but that can be eliminated in slower pace.

1841 6668 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Start reorganization of different keyboard drivers.
What seemed like a screwed i8042 chip appears to be
Zilog 8530.

The repository won't compile now. To be fixed in next commits.

1838 6672 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add scan code map for Sun keyboard.
1787 6696 d 20 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6703 d 22 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1759 6717 d 7 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/genarch/src/i8042/ Disable mouse on entry to kconsole. If it doesn't help
(like in qemu, which still generates mouse data), we would have
to let it enabled and filter out the mouse data.

1757 6718 d 2 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup of comments.
1754 6718 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Indentation and some improved comments.
Remove forgotten comment from gxemul.sh.

1753 6718 d 6 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/genarch/src/i8042/ Fix bad interrupt handling in kbd driver.
Read all data available on interrupt.

1708 6722 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix some broken doxygen comments.
1702 6725 d 0 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1474 6737 d 17 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added syscall that lets kernel regain access to keyboard.
1196 6783 d 2 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Printf ported back from uspace to kernel.
Printf calls changed to match new conventions.

1195 6785 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/genarch/src/i8042/ Coding style changes for the last commit.
1194 6785 d 0 h vana /kernel/trunk/genarch/src/i8042/ Status testing version of clear-buffer routine for i8042
1193 6785 d 2 h vana /kernel/trunk/genarch/src/i8042/ i8042 buffer full problem fix
958 6816 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Nicer ia32 interrupt handlers and structures holding interrupted context data.
Unify the name holding interrupted context data on all architectures to be istate.

895 6830 d 18 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
Very raw and fragile preliminary standalone keyboard support - polling mode only.
Because of a workaround in Simics, the scan codes are the same as on ia32.

894 6830 d 22 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move i8042 driver to genarch as it might be used by more architectures.
893 6831 d 2 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/ sparc64 work.
Revive OFW console code and use it before the kernel switches to standalone console.

ia32 + ia64 cosmetic changes.

878 6833 d 1 h vana /kernel/trunk/ Active keyboard read for ia32
671 6886 d 18 h vana /kernel/trunk/ i8042 bug fix...
670 6886 d 21 h vana /kernel/trunk/arch/ia32/src/drivers/ i8042 command word init... It should work on ia32 but I have done it for Indy and I'm not sure it will work because on Silicon should not be the same software in universal microprocesor i8042. So if It will not work I'll remove it and will write i8042 AT function emulation.
623 6905 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add SPINLOCK_DECLARE and SPINLOCK_INITIALIZE macros.
SPINLOCK_DECLARE is to be used instead of direct spinlock_t declarations
in dynamically allocated structures on which spinlock_initialize() is called after
their creation.
SPINLOCK_INITIALIZE is to be used instead of direct spinlock_t declarations
of global spinlocks. It declares and initializes the spinlock.
Moreover, both macros are empty on UP so that -Wall warnings about unused structures
get supressed.
