2745 5922 d 8 h decky /trunk/ code cleanup (mostly signed/unsigned)
allow extra compiler warnings

2124 6303 d 1 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ implement simple realloc()
2123 6309 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/mm/ add forgotten unsigned
2071 6327 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2052 6357 d 2 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/mm/ pretty-print slabs
1950 6415 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentation changes and coding style fixes in slab.c and slab.h.
1787 6518 d 1 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6525 d 2 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1766 6533 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed frame_alloc call, cleaned a lot of stuff, fixed some not-perfectly-correct error handling.
1760 6536 d 3 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed interface of frame_alloc/free to use address of frame instead of the pfn.
This makes it impossible to use >4GB of memory on 32-bit machines, but who cares...

1757 6539 d 7 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup of comments.
1702 6546 d 5 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1682 6549 d 12 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fast framebuffer scrolling in kconsole. Eats some memory though.
1677 6550 d 5 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ Fixed error in page number computing, that could almost never appear.
1554 6555 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ Improve comment in slab.c.
1428 6562 d 20 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added 256K slab, so that AMD can boot (until ELF loader is fixed).
Added AS_AREA_RECV so that the caller can receive AS_AREA.

1288 6585 d 7 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Complete implementation of copy_from_uspace() and copy_to_uspace()
for amd64 and ia32. Other architectures still compile and run,
but need to implement their own assembly-only memcpy(), memcpy_from_uspace(),
memcpy_to_uspace() and their failover parts. For these architectures
only dummy implementations are provided.

1248 6593 d 2 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add some @file doxygen comments and improve already existing comments.
1224 6597 d 5 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Fix pointers output format.
Fix format of slab and zones tables.

1196 6604 d 6 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Printf ported back from uspace to kernel.
Printf calls changed to match new conventions.

1144 6619 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Completed B+-tree support.
Enable btree_remove().
Reorder some static functions and group them together.
Fix order of nodes in the leaf_head list.

822 6670 d 20 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed malloc to include second parameter and documented
recommended usage.
Added zone merging, made ia32 & amd64 to merge found zones.

814 6671 d 7 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup o frame allocator.
Removed early_malloc & initial heap.
Will break ia64, ppc & sparc.
Added e820 table print.

791 6673 d 18 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ better utilization of memory in slab alloc
removed malloc-8 slab

789 6673 d 21 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Early SLAB initialization, the cpu-cache is initialized later.
If you want to use slab_cache_create befor slab_cpu_enable, add
a flag SLAB_CACHE_MAGDEFERRED.

788 6674 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move list and fifo data types to adt/.
787 6674 d 2 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added constructor/destructor calls to SLAB.
Changed allocation of thread_t structure to use SLAB.

786 6674 d 3 h bondari /kernel/trunk/ frame_alloc() functions variations in order to avoid problems with frame_alloc_generic() changes.
IMPORTANT: Parameter order for frame_alloc() was changed

785 6674 d 5 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Comments clarification.
783 6674 d 5 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Fixed some typos in slab allocator.
Scheduler now has better algorithm on load balancing.
Unfortunately it reveals deadlock in slab allocator :-/

782 6674 d 7 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ Small locking performance tweak.
781 6674 d 18 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Still better locking - does not hold global spinlock when
destroying cache.

780 6674 d 22 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Small fix in slab allocator for large-sized slabs.
778 6675 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed boot process not to call malloc when slab not initialized.
Added simics workaround.

776 6675 d 4 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added more granular locking to slab allocator and thus fix
hopefully last race condition.

775 6675 d 5 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added scheduler queues output. The scheduler is buggy - on SMP
the cpus never get tu cpu_sleep, in slab2 test on 4 cpus everything
is on the first cpu.
The slab allocator passes tests in this configuration, but in slightly
different(more efficient) locking order it panics. TODO: Find out why
does it panic.

773 6675 d 17 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added slab stress test.
Fixed race condition in slab allocator.
Moved initialization of slab to the point where we know correct config.cpu_count
Correctly passes tests on amd64, ia32 in both bochs & qemu.

772 6675 d 18 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed non-initialized cpu-cache.
771 6675 d 20 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Implemented malloc/free as SLABs.
769 6676 d 17 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ SLAB allocator now uses itself for all its internal structures.
Added description of allocator.
Removed messy_stack_trace from amd64, as it would scroll away important
part of exception.
