1823 6480 d 20 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work.
Dump take_over_tlb_and_tt() and add its assembly language replacement.

1822 6481 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work.
1. Formatting fixes.
2. When writing to DMMU ASI's, simple membar() can be used in place of flush().
3. Substantial changes in the way the TLB is taken over.
4. Remove unneeded functions.

This is the first revision that also runs on a real world Ultra 5 with UltraSPARC IIi
processor.

Note that 3. needs further work as the current implementation depends on the fact
that the compiler will use registers for local variables in take_over_tlb_and_tt().
Rewrite of that function into assembly is to follow.

1792 6499 d 14 h jermar /trunk/ Move functionality of tlb_arch_init() to take_over_tlb_and_tt().
Call take_over_tlb_and_tt() very early after the kernel starts
executing.

1790 6499 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ Remove OpenFirmware calls from kernel/ entirely.

Switch the sparc64 port to use bootinfo.

Copy memcpy from boot/ to sparc64 kernel/ and
adjust it for memcpy_from/to_uspace.

1787 6501 d 18 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1784 6502 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Sync OpenFirmware functionality with boot.
Random cleanup.

1769 6511 d 14 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/ Change cache_error exception to take istate * as a parameter.
Make cache_error() print epc in the panic message.
Do not rely on the compiler to generate 'nop' after 'beq' in atomic_add()
and put it there explicitly.
Indentation fixes and cosmetic changes.

1705 6529 d 1 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1704 6529 d 4 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Fixed first letter size of subgroup name in Others.
1702 6529 d 22 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1474 6542 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added syscall that lets kernel regain access to keyboard.
1062 6618 d 14 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ It is now possible to associate symbolic names with both threads and tasks.
More verbose kconsole threads, tasks and scheduler commands.

897 6635 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
Fix KBD_VIRT_ADDRESS.
Call before_thread_runs() prior to the switch to the thread's stack. Add comment why this is crucial.
Add after_thread_ran() to the scheduler.
Add before_thread_runs_arch() and after_thread_ran_arch() for sparc64, mapping/demapping thread's kernel stack.
Add dummy after_thread_ran_arch() to all other architectures.
Add dtlb_insert_mapping() to promote code reuse.

895 6635 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
Very raw and fragile preliminary standalone keyboard support - polling mode only.
Because of a workaround in Simics, the scan codes are the same as on ia32.

893 6636 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/ sparc64 work.
Revive OFW console code and use it before the kernel switches to standalone console.

ia32 + ia64 cosmetic changes.

883 6637 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work.
Switch console to framebuffer (needs proper detection and initialization).
No native keyboard support, so far.
Memory management trap handler fixes.
Do not use OpenFirmware trap table anymore.

669 6694 d 13 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
kconsole support.
Add non-blocking ofw_getchar().

664 6699 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
Interrupt Levels 1 - 15 serviced.
Minor changes in the exc_* functions.

663 6700 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work.
Initial interrupt_vector_trap handler and fixes needed to make it do the right thing (i.e. panic()).

646 6706 d 13 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix cpu_init(): frame_alloc() can return 0 as the valid address of block of frames. Do not signal error.

sparc64 work.
Reorganize kernel vs. userspace memory layout.
Add panic_printf().
Turn dummy() into nop rather than into infinite loop.
