2107 6373 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ When clock() is called by an external interrupt dispatched by the IRQ dispatcher,
no spinlock can be held or the kernel will not be preemptive. This fixes Ticket #24.

Formating and indentation fixes.

2089 6379 d 8 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2071 6390 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2015 6429 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

2012 6431 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Eliminate confusion between SYS_MAP_PHYSMEM and sys_physmem_map.
The syscall is to be called SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP from now on and the functions that participate in its implementation are
called *physmem_map().

1933 6482 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ Implement efficient IPC notification cleanup.
1926 6482 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/ cleanup for new IRQ subsystem
1923 6483 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ Replace the old IRQ dispatcher and IPC notifier with new implementation.
Note that all architectures except for sparc64 are now broken
and don't even compile.

1922 6484 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ More IRQ stuff.
Modify the IRQ hash table functions to support lookup based on inr and devno.
Add method member to irq_t.

1921 6485 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Changes in ns16550 and z8530 drivers.
Add some stuff for IRQ notifications to irq_t.

1920 6485 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Move the new IRQ redirector to ddi/.
Add function for assigning unique device numbers.
Change sparc64/drivers/kbd.c to assign devno to keyboard.

1888 6515 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1839 6555 d 5 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ finish security context isolation
1787 6580 d 3 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6587 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1708 6605 d 10 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix some broken doxygen comments.
1705 6607 d 10 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1702 6608 d 7 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1589 6616 d 3 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Improve comments regarding liveliness of threads and tasks.
1588 6616 d 3 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ In task_kill(), remove the task from the tasks_btree before proceeding.
Thus, when the kernel finds the task in the tasks_btree and locks it before
releasing tasks_lock, it is guaranteed that the task will not be destroyed
until the lock is held. If the kernel needs to unlock the task, do some operation
and lock it again, it should increase its refcount before doing so. In that case,
when releasing the lock, it must decrement the refcount and if it reaches
zero, it must call task_destroy().
