4311 5551 d 14 h decky /trunk/ change the way how input devices are wired together according to ticket #44
(also the proposal http://lists.modry.cz/cgi-bin/private/helenos-devel/2009-March/002507.html)

4282 5557 d 17 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ repair two glitches in memory management
(no beer today :))

4277 5558 d 11 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ On sparc64, do fast indentity mapping only for physical memory.
For addresses above physical memory, such as I/O devices,
fall through to the C miss handler and map the memory noncacheably.
Replace deprecated Bicc instructions with proper Bcc instructions.

4220 5569 d 19 h decky /trunk/kernel/ update for string changes
4202 5571 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ fix compilation on sparc64
4111 5591 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Update the SGCN driver to match the latest character I/O changes.
4071 5592 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Some additional fixes to the sgcn driver.
4070 5592 d 10 h rimsky /trunk/ SGCN driver modified to reflect the new keyboard driver architecture. Making the Serengeti bootable image smaller by not including some servers/applications.
4032 5598 d 8 h svoboda /trunk/ Init-task names for sparc64 (that's the final one, whew).
4021 5600 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ There is no need to define ioport{8,16,32}_t types for each architecture separately.
3973 5604 d 16 h decky /trunk/kernel/ kernel memory management revisited (phase 2): map physical memory according to zones
- ia32: register reserved and ACPI zones
- pareas are now used only for mapping of present physical memory (hw_area() is gone)
- firmware zones and physical addresses outside any zones are allowed to be mapped generally
- fix nasty antient bug in zones_insert_zone()

3961 5609 d 12 h jermar /trunk/ Unbreak sparc64.
Due to the lack of userspace bus drivers for the z8530 and ns16550,
we are currently handling exactly one interrupt from these devices
in userspace.

3929 5612 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Introduce ioport8_t, ioport16_t and ioport32_t. These types are to be used with
pio_read_n() and pio_write_n() functions. This breaks everything.

3922 5614 d 4 h decky /trunk/ make arch_pre_main optional, don't force any specific prototype
simplify boot process
mips32: detect number of configured CPUs in msim

3908 5615 d 8 h decky /trunk/ overhaul pareas: use one single physical area for the physical address space not belonging to physical memory
3906 5616 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ IRQ handlers are using one superfluous argument and an unused elipsis.
On the other hand, IRQ claim functions would need to be passed the instance
argument.

3902 5616 d 12 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Introduce a more platform-neutral name for programmed I/O.

The new API looks like pio_read_n() or pio_write_n(), where n is 8, 16 or 32.
The old API (i.e. inb(), inw(), inl(), outb() outw(), outl()) may have made
some people think that the interface is only to be used with the separate I/O
space. That's not the case. This API is to be implemented on all platforms
so that we can finally have really generic kernel device drivers.

3880 5619 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ simplify configuration
introduce arch_construct_function and inb/outb (sometimes empty) on all platforms
various code cleanup

3878 5619 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ introduce fncptr_t and ioport_t on all platforms
3779 5658 d 13 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Only one kernel EGA driver to rule them all.
