3189 5949 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ppc32/src/ Implement memcpy_to_uspace_failover_address for ppc32.
This fixes kernel side of ticket #59.

3071 5971 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/ reflect changes in generic code
proper formatting directives
coding style

2781 6051 d 8 h cejka /trunk/ Unified context saving/restoring macros in ppc32.
2725 6089 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/ remove config.memory_size, get_memory_size() and memory_init.{c|d}
the amount of available memory can be calculated from the sizes of the zones
add FRAMES2SIZE, SIZE2KB and SIZE2MB functions/macros (code readability)

2723 6090 d 5 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ remove memory_print_map(), as it duplicates functionality of physmem_print()
2227 6392 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/ start shutdown infrastructure
2222 6393 d 1 h decky /trunk/kernel/ map kernel pages explicitly as writable (this solves compatibility issues with Intel Core 2)
make VESA framebuffer initialization more robust

2218 6393 d 22 h decky /trunk/kernel/ support the possibility to send EOI or Interrupt Acknowledgement
prior to processing the interrupt
(this is essential on some architectures to prevent preemption deadlock)

2170 6400 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Simplify synchronization in as_switch().
The function was oversynchronized, which
was causing deadlocks on the address
space mutex.

Now, address spaces can only be switched
when the asidlock is held. This also protects
stealing of ASIDs. No other synchronization
is necessary.

2089 6463 d 8 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2071 6474 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
1993 6530 d 9 h decky /trunk/ make framebuffer code more generic
1944 6564 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add mutual exclusion to keyboard grab and release
functions on sparc64, ppc32, mips32 and ia64.

1934 6565 d 13 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ppc32/src/drivers/ remove grab (not needed)
1932 6566 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Do not copy notification config out of the IRQ structure.
Add the notify member, that toggles notifications on and off instead.
This is good for preventing other tasks from registering the notification
while the notification config is stored outside the IRQ structure.
It should also help to implement the cleanup code.

1928 6566 d 6 h decky /trunk/ ppc32: update for new IRQ subsystem (there is still a bug left)
1926 6566 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/ cleanup for new IRQ subsystem
1901 6587 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Make SMP related parts of main.c more generic.
Move initialization of local APIC to architecture specific code.
Add arch_post_cpu_init() to support the above.

1888 6599 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1837 6640 d 13 h jermar /trunk/ Support 24bpp framebuffers with 4 pixelbytes (each pixel aligned on 32-bits).

At least on sparc64, the OpenFirmware linebytes property specifies the number
of pixels between consecutive scan lines of the display. Fix scanilne calculation,
including possible alignment.

Add note to 8bpp pixel functions pointing out drawbacks of that mode.
