2474 6294 d 0 h jermar /tags/0.2.0.5/ Add tag for HelenOS 0.2.0.5.
2445 6311 d 8 h decky /trunk/ initial merge of branches/fs
(not finished, huge cleanup is needed)

2272 6354 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentation and formatting fixes.
2185 6367 d 9 h decky /trunk/ rename ipcc to tester
2184 6367 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/lib/ add zetta (sextillion) prefix
make constants explicitly unsigned

2141 6376 d 22 h jermar /trunk/ The Ultimate Solution To Illegal Virtual Aliases.
It is better to avoid them completely than to fight them.
Switch the sparc64 port to 16K pages. The TLBs and TSBs
continue to operate with 8K pages only. Page tables and
other generic parts operate with 16K pages.

Because the MMU doesn't support 16K directly, each 16K
page is emulated by a pair of 8K pages. With 16K pages,
illegal aliases cannot be created in 16K D-cache.

2127 6420 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/lib/ add forgotten implementation
2126 6420 d 23 h decky /trunk/kernel/ small cleanup, more work coming
2125 6421 d 2 h decky /trunk/ experimental support for Objective C
(disabled by default)

2104 6433 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/lib/ more fine order of magnitude display
2089 6435 d 8 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2071 6446 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2063 6460 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/src/lib/ Call big endian byte swap function instead of little endian.
2062 6460 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/src/lib/ switch statement coding style fixes.
2050 6475 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/ benchmarking with statistics (initial)
2015 6485 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

2005 6494 d 6 h decky /trunk/ update rd
2002 6494 d 8 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ rd work
2000 6496 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/ move files to more proper locations
1896 6563 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ Convert sparc64 to detect keyboard and determine
its physical address by walking the memory representation
of the OpenFirmware device tree.

Add bus-specific functions that know how to apply the
"ranges" property to one component of the "reg" property.
Buses supported so far include FHC, EBUS and PCI.
