1780 6644 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1702 6665 d 4 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1511 6676 d 4 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/arch/ Remove __address from include file included by uspace
1108 6747 d 20 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Small PTE_* macros and SET_PTL0_ADDRESS macro changes.
1070 6753 d 8 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ More checks for address space area conflicts.
977 6756 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add sys_mremap() syscall.
967 6756 d 8 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Allowed userspace to include page.h.
940 6758 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Get rid of unneeded macros.
Their functionality has been replaced by the ELF loader.

901 6769 d 7 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/ ia64 work.
Provide PA2KA(identity) mapping for kernel data references via Alternate Data TLB Fault handler.
Add before_thread_runs_arch() that maps kstack, if necessary.
Add easy to use dtlb_mapping_insert() for comfortable insertion of kernel data mappings.

897 6770 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
Fix KBD_VIRT_ADDRESS.
Call before_thread_runs() prior to the switch to the thread's stack. Add comment why this is crucial.
Add after_thread_ran() to the scheduler.
Add before_thread_runs_arch() and after_thread_ran_arch() for sparc64, mapping/demapping thread's kernel stack.
Add dummy after_thread_ran_arch() to all other architectures.
Add dtlb_insert_mapping() to promote code reuse.

877 6773 d 23 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/sparc64/ Fixes in sparc64 preliminary TLB miss handler.
Compute and insert identity mapping for kernel on the fly.

873 6774 d 7 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work.
Add more MMU helper functions and make data TLB miss handler more verbose.

867 6776 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move OFW functionality of ppc32 memory_init to genarch so that the code can also be used by sparc64.
sparc64 is now close to broken as it lacks functionality to provide identity mapping for the whole phyisical memory.

863 6776 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work.
Add initial TLB miss handlers.

792 6792 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Page hash table architectures now use generic hash table to manage
mappings.

765 6795 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add PAGE_WIDTH to aid divisions by PAGE_SIZE.
763 6796 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Modify frame.h to use shifting instead of multiplication and division.
Define FRAME_WIDTH for all architectures.

758 6796 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/ sparc64 bugfix.
When disabling IMMU and DMMU the kernel has to perform synchronization operation
(e.g flush %r or membar #Sync instruction). There is no guarantee that the address
contained in %r is in DTLB and therefore the flush instruction can fault. Normally
this would be recognized and fixed by the OpenFirmware Fast Data MMU fault handler.
However, this handler lives in virtually mapped memory and an attempt to execute
there while the MMUs are disabled would result in a nested trap leading to error state.
Replacing flush %r instruction with membar #Sync, wich is sufficient in this case,
fixes this problem.

757 6796 d 22 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Blacklist addresses between 0xa0000 and 0xfffff on ia64 for frame allocator.
This area contains VGA text frame buffer and should be avoided.
falloc2 test now passes on ia64.

756 6797 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Memory management work.
Remove the last (i.e. 'root') argument from page_mapping_insert() and page_mapping_find().
Page table address is now extracted from the first (i.e. 'as') argument.
Add a lot of infrastructure to make the above possible.
sparc64 is now broken, most likely because of insufficient identity mapping of physical memory.
