2460 6361 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Better infrastructure for building with different compilers.
Separate ICC_CFLAGS added, SUNCC_CFLAGS extended.

2454 6362 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ A bit of infrastructure for building with different compilers.
CFLAGS split into GCC_CFLAGS and SUNCC_CFLAGS.
As of now, there are no separate ICC_CFLAGS, but can be easily added.

2141 6432 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ The Ultimate Solution To Illegal Virtual Aliases.
It is better to avoid them completely than to fight them.
Switch the sparc64 port to 16K pages. The TLBs and TSBs
continue to operate with 8K pages only. Page tables and
other generic parts operate with 16K pages.

Because the MMU doesn't support 16K directly, each 16K
page is emulated by a pair of 8K pages. With 16K pages,
illegal aliases cannot be created in 16K D-cache.

2125 6476 d 4 h decky /trunk/ experimental support for Objective C
(disabled by default)

2071 6501 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2009 6545 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Initial support for handling illegal virtual aliases on sparc64.
2008 6547 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Add dcache_flush() function that flushes D-Cache on sparc64.
1911 6604 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add support for interrupt mapping in the Sabre PCI controller.
Add support for PCI and EBUS interrupt mapping via the OpenFirmware device tree.
Unfortunatelly, the code is not capable enough to earn single ns16550 interrupt.
I suspect something needs to be enabled in the EBUS registers.

1903 6613 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ SMP stuff for sparc64.
Almost complete except for IPIs.
The absence of IPI support deadlocks
the kernel when more CPUs are configured.

1897 6617 d 11 h jermar /trunk/ Convert sparc64 framebuffer code to configure from the OpenFirmware device tree memory representation.
1896 6618 d 3 h jermar /trunk/ Convert sparc64 to detect keyboard and determine
its physical address by walking the memory representation
of the OpenFirmware device tree.

Add bus-specific functions that know how to apply the
"ranges" property to one component of the "reg" property.
Buses supported so far include FHC, EBUS and PCI.

1895 6620 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ More ofw_tree work and fixes.
Add ofw_tree_lookup().
Every ofw_tree_node now also contains a disambigued name which is essential for tree lookups.

1891 6622 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ sparc64 work:
- Experimental support for TSB (Translation Storage Buffer).

1889 6623 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Fix bug in mm/as.c:
- as_area_destroy() should not work with AS but as

sparc64 work:
- start implementing TSB support

1888 6626 d 7 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1882 6627 d 11 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Support for sparc64 FPU context.
1875 6633 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work.
- Changes to enable userspace keyboard drivers.
- Fix z8530 initialization (i.e. clear any pending Tx interrupts).
- Experimental support for framebuffers with inverted colors.

1865 6636 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ sparc64 kernel fixes
1862 6639 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ sparc64 work.
Kernel syscall support.
Modify the preemptive_handler for the use by syscalls.

1854 6642 d 13 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Define architecture-specific thread sub-constructors and sub-destructors on all architectures.
Define the THREAD_FLAG_USPACE which means that the thread runs in user space.
The forementioned changes allow for allocating of user window buffer on sparc64
threads that execute in userspace.

A lot of formatting and indentation fixes.
