2572 6082 d 14 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Remove duplicit implementation of strlen() in kernel, rename is_digit(),
is_white() and co. to their standard names (e.g. isdigit(), isspace()) and
remove duplicit implementation of isdigit(). Fix cstyle in kernel printf()
implementation.

2516 6107 d 22 h vana /trunk/kernel/ IA64 rest of neaded changes to work with simics keyboard
2510 6111 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Experimental support for the cgsix framebuffer, which is found on old Ultra 1
worksations, and the SBUS bus and devices. Not tested.

2505 6145 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/genarch/src/softint/ Minor cleanup of softint.
2465 6201 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ Merge arm32 into trunk.
2441 6208 d 22 h decky /trunk/kernel/ fix ICC compilation
2321 6230 d 4 h decky /trunk/ keep mouse state in i8042_grab, unify keyboard and mouse IRQ handler
(this fixes ticket #12)

2222 6261 d 22 h decky /trunk/kernel/ map kernel pages explicitly as writable (this solves compatibility issues with Intel Core 2)
make VESA framebuffer initialization more robust

2170 6269 d 21 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Simplify synchronization in as_switch().
The function was oversynchronized, which
was causing deadlocks on the address
space mutex.

Now, address spaces can only be switched
when the asidlock is held. This also protects
stealing of ASIDs. No other synchronization
is necessary.

2141 6273 d 20 h jermar /trunk/ The Ultimate Solution To Illegal Virtual Aliases.
It is better to avoid them completely than to fight them.
Switch the sparc64 port to 16K pages. The TLBs and TSBs
continue to operate with 8K pages only. Page tables and
other generic parts operate with 16K pages.

Because the MMU doesn't support 16K directly, each 16K
page is emulated by a pair of 8K pages. With 16K pages,
illegal aliases cannot be created in 16K D-cache.

2125 6317 d 23 h decky /trunk/ experimental support for Objective C
(disabled by default)

2106 6326 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Merge as_t structure into one and leave the differring parts in as_genarch_t.

Indentation and formatting changes in header files.

2102 6331 d 0 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/src/fb/ signed/unsigned comparison, explicit typecast
2101 6331 d 0 h decky /trunk/kernel/ fix signed/unsigned comparison and integer overflow
2100 6331 d 1 h decky /trunk/kernel/ signed/unsigned comparison, explicit typecast
2089 6332 d 6 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2086 6334 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/genarch/src/fb/ Don't write to frame buffer memory, which is past the resolution.
This fixes Ticket #17

Coding style a formatting changes in the frame buffer code.

2071 6342 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2054 6370 d 21 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Fix important comment in kernel/arch/sparc64/src/proc/scheduler.c.

Improve framebuffer code.

Formatting and indentation fixes.

2015 6381 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.
