4153 5565 d 15 h mejdrech /branches/network/ Networking: merged with trunk changes
3386 5761 d 18 h decky /branches/network/ add new network branch (copy of current trunk)
3233 5799 d 19 h decky /trunk/ remove dummy page coloring facility, which is currenty not used
2860 5902 d 14 h cejka /trunk/ Context handling unified for sparc64.
2798 5914 d 14 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Replace all endian.h in uspace with a copy of the kernel's respective byteorder.h.
2610 6053 d 18 h jermar /trunk/ Support for six syscall arguments for sparc64.
There is a minor stability issue which needs to be fixed (kernel panics upon entering kconsole from the
console task).

2586 6070 d 11 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ Unify implementations of TLS variant I and variant II __alloc_tls() and
__free_tls_arch().

2541 6103 d 22 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Header cleanup.
Move off_t, size_t and ssize_t into sys/types.h.
Get rid off the non-standard and dummy types.h.

2482 6195 d 9 h jermar /trunk/ Goodbye pseudo threads, welcome fibrils.
The renaming might still be incomplete.

2479 6199 d 21 h jermar /trunk/ New, better-structured, directory layout for uspace.
2192 6277 d 20 h decky /trunk/uspace/libc/arch/sparc64/include/ fix uspace atomic_add according kernel code
2141 6287 d 11 h jermar /trunk/ The Ultimate Solution To Illegal Virtual Aliases.
It is better to avoid them completely than to fight them.
Switch the sparc64 port to 16K pages. The TLBs and TSBs
continue to operate with 8K pages only. Page tables and
other generic parts operate with 16K pages.

Because the MMU doesn't support 16K directly, each 16K
page is emulated by a pair of 8K pages. With 16K pages,
illegal aliases cannot be created in 16K D-cache.

2082 6351 d 21 h decky /trunk/ __asm__ __volatile__ -> asm volatile
2071 6356 d 14 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2061 6374 d 21 h jermar /trunk/ Improve comments and fix formatting in (sparc64) TLS implementation.
Improve some comments and formatting in sparc64 uspace thread library
code.

Update required msim version.

2025 6393 d 11 h jermar /trunk/ Coding style fixes.
2015 6395 d 14 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

1890 6477 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ - Create a dedicated slab cache for as_t objects and switch from malloc/free to slab_alloc/slab_free for
them.

- Slightly fix and improve both the kernel and userspace atomic_add() on sparc64.

- More TSB work on the sparc64 front.

1888 6481 d 17 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1868 6490 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work.
- the syscall wrapper needs to use the "memory"
clobber specifier to prevent over-optimization.
- on sparc64, the user address space spans the whole
64-bit space and therefore the macro
USER_ADDRESS_SPACE_SIZE_ARCH, as it was defined,
overflows to 0
- stop using USER_ADDRESS_SPACE_SIZE_ARCH and define
MAX_HEAP_SIZE instead
- in our situation when kernel and user address spaces
are separate, the G (global) bit cannot be used
(there is no point in it anymore)
- add the DEBUG() macro to stdio.h; DEBUG() uses
SYS_IO and is a good debugging tool for getting
early userspace to work
