MIPS work.
Fix some name inconsistencies between cp0 functions' declarations and definitions.
Add and implement tlb_init_arch().
Add tlb_modified() exception handler.
Other architectures: add dummy tlb_init_arch(). |

Updated symtab so that it works correctly with BE architectures.
Changed compiler for BE MIPS to be mips-sgi-irix5, because
mipsel -EB does not behave correctly.
Doc updates to amd64.
Added ARC BIOS support to MIPS architecture. Putchar works correctly,
kernel passed FPU & some rwlock tests. |

Cleanup of makefiles to have common options in one main makefile.
Add simple build process for different simulators for MIPS.
Added FPU context & lazy FPU context switching to MIPS.
Cleanup of MIPS linker script.
Moved MIPS kernel above 1MB. Not tested on real machine yet, but it might help.
There is something broken with gcc inlined memcpy (either simulator or gcc), it is disabled on BigEndian mips now. |

MIPS architecture now works without any problems in
- msim: compile as OUTPUT_FORMAT(binary)
- gxemul: compile as OUTPUT_FORMAT(ecoff-littlemips), or create
configuration file for binary format (will be done later)
- simics: compile as OUTPUT_FORMAT(elf32-little), might work with binary
format, didn't try yet. |

On interrupt saving registers, save $lo, $hi.
Add interrupt naming to asm files (mips).
Save only necessary registers on context switch (see mips ABI).

Fixed bad register assignment in atomic.h.
Added -msoft-float so that it does not call coprocessor and it works withou doubles.
Removed undefined symbol from tlb.c. Unfortunately
mips linker does not report missing symbols. |

SMP recovery patch #2 (SMP is no longer broken !!!).
Fix missing KA2PA() operation in ap.S which was causing page faults during AP early initialization.
Fix bug in map_page_to_frame(): 'root' was interpretted as kernel address while read_dba() returns physical address.
Make references to page directory and page tables use kernel addresses instead of physical addresses.
Massive frame allocation code cleanup.
Basically revert to what we had had before implementation of userspace.

Discard 'copy' parameter of map_page_to_frame().
Introduce 'root' parameter of map_page_to_frame().
If 'root' is zero, page directory address is read from CPU.
Otherwise 'root' is used as page directory address.
Add missing word to new doxygen-style comments in scheduler.c. |
