4095 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ make cpu_halt() really halt the execution
4094 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/ update for the new scheme of wiring device drivers to keyboard/serial modules
4093 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/src/ chardev_t -> outdev_t
small fixes and cleanups

4092 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/ wire keyboard/serial module and device drivers in a more obvious way
(first a device driver is initialized and then it is connected to the generic module)

4091 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ split chardev_t into indev_t and outdev_t
4090 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ remove the confusing "exit" from the list of commands
(the exit command still works in last resort and debug consoles)

4089 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ avoid page fault on exit command
cleanup

4088 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/lib/ do not create last resort console if there is no polling input device
cleanup

4087 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ use indev_t
remove console IRQ notification (will be replaced by a proper solution)
remove null_stdout (just initialize stdout to NULL)
remove console_init()
add check_poll()
more understandable message on halt with no polled input device
cleanup

4086 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/console/ split chardev_t into indev_t and outdev_t
simplify and cleanup operations

4085 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/interrupt/ do not echo keypress
4084 5630 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/main/ separate console_init() is actually not needed
4079 5630 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/ support for dummy serial line input and output (e.g. msim)
4078 5630 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/genarch/ add dummy serial line input and output drivers
4076 5631 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ Fix SMP on sparc64.
4072 5631 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ Fix sparc64 builds without srln.
4071 5631 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Some additional fixes to the sgcn driver.
4070 5631 d 7 h rimsky /trunk/ SGCN driver modified to reflect the new keyboard driver architecture. Making the Serengeti bootable image smaller by not including some servers/applications.
4060 5634 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/ Clean up ski handling in kernel.
4057 5634 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ optional EGA support
4052 5634 d 14 h jermar /trunk/kernel/genarch/src/srln/ Add a new line - gcc is very picky lately.
4048 5635 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/src/mm/ Fix non-debug build.
4047 5635 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ Improve the configuration file.

- Support for easy configuration with sane defaults.

- Fix the ambiguous MACHINE variable by introducing the PROCESSOR variable.

- Eliminate some unnecessarily detailed questions by providing defaults for the
Serengeti machine.

- Introduce CONFIG_HID_IN and CONFIG_HID_OUT variables. They help to limit the
number of offered HID devices. In the future, they can be also used to
configure the way how the serial controller devices are connected to the
keyboard / serial line modules on some platforms where we can't autodetect.

4046 5635 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/ Nuke the mips32-specific ns16550 driver.
Remove the conflicting console_init() too.

4045 5635 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/arm32/ Remove ARM's console_init() because it conflicts with the generic
console_init(). No functionality loss as it was a mere wrapper around
machine_console_init().

4044 5635 d 7 h svoboda /trunk/ Userspace driver for ski keyboard port.
4043 5635 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ Serial line module.
4042 5635 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ Complete emancipation of kernel serial controller drivers (i8042, ns16550 and
z8530). Provide a common keyboard module for PC and Sun keyboards. The serial
line module is still to follow.

4041 5635 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ If the server cannot receive a call because it supplied a bad userspace address, the kernel will immediately answer the call with EPARTY.
4040 5636 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/ipc/ add TODO
4039 5636 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/src/ cstyle
4038 5636 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/src/ save destination address properly in all cases
(this fixes IPC on mips32)

4032 5637 d 5 h svoboda /trunk/ Init-task names for sparc64 (that's the final one, whew).
4031 5638 d 2 h svoboda /trunk/ Init-task names for ia64.
4030 5638 d 2 h svoboda /trunk/ Init-task names for ppc32.
4029 5638 d 2 h svoboda /trunk/ Init-task names for mips32.
4028 5638 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ Fix typo.
4027 5639 d 2 h svoboda /trunk/ Init task names for arm32.
4026 5639 d 2 h jermar /trunk/ Make the kbd port drivers platform neutral by using PIO functions.
The kernel now supplies the physical address and the kernel virtual address.

4023 5639 d 3 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/arch/ Unify arch_pre_main() comments.
