1150 6795 d 9 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Rename btree_node_left_sibling() to btree_leaf_node_left_neighbour()
and btree_node_right_sibling() to btree_leaf_node_right_neighbour()
as the left and right neighbours of a node needn't be its siblings.

1148 6795 d 20 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ s/B+-tree/B+tree/
1147 6795 d 20 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Deploy B+tree in address space area management.
Change as_remap() to check for conflicts with other address space areas only when the area in question grows.

1108 6807 d 20 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Small PTE_* macros and SET_PTL0_ADDRESS macro changes.
1076 6813 d 5 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ Unlock address space area when returning error.
1070 6813 d 8 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ More checks for address space area conflicts.
1048 6814 d 3 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Restore interrupts when failing in as_remap().
Add check_area_conflicts() that checks whether address area overlaps with other areas.
Refuse to create writeable executable address space areas.
Rename as_area_t::size to as_area_t::pages.

1044 6814 d 5 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Page table locking.
1026 6814 d 18 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Support only anonymous address space areas.
983 6816 d 3 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed shrinking of as area.
980 6816 d 4 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Small speed update of ipc.
Fixed some bugs regarding pages in mremap.

977 6816 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add sys_mremap() syscall.
973 6816 d 6 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added simpler userspace starting.
840 6843 d 5 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix filling of hardcoded_ktext_size and hardcoded_kdata_size to use 64 bit stores on ia64.
823 6849 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Reimplement ASID stealing logic.
This time, hopefully, with correct synchronization.

822 6849 d 19 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed malloc to include second parameter and documented
recommended usage.
Added zone merging, made ia32 & amd64 to merge found zones.

814 6850 d 6 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup o frame allocator.
Removed early_malloc & initial heap.
Will break ia64, ppc & sparc.
Added e820 table print.

792 6852 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Page hash table architectures now use generic hash table to manage
mappings.

789 6852 d 20 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Early SLAB initialization, the cpu-cache is initialized later.
If you want to use slab_cache_create befor slab_cpu_enable, add
a flag SLAB_CACHE_MAGDEFERRED.

788 6853 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move list and fifo data types to adt/.
786 6853 d 2 h bondari /kernel/trunk/ frame_alloc() functions variations in order to avoid problems with frame_alloc_generic() changes.
IMPORTANT: Parameter order for frame_alloc() was changed

778 6853 d 23 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed boot process not to call malloc when slab not initialized.
Added simics workaround.

771 6854 d 19 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Implemented malloc/free as SLABs.
762 6856 d 4 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Currently not-working SLAB allocator.
- slightly changed interface to frame_alloc, allow zone preference

757 6856 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Blacklist addresses between 0xa0000 and 0xfffff on ia64 for frame allocator.
This area contains VGA text frame buffer and should be avoided.
falloc2 test now passes on ia64.

756 6857 d 18 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Memory management work.
Remove the last (i.e. 'root') argument from page_mapping_insert() and page_mapping_find().
Page table address is now extracted from the first (i.e. 'as') argument.
Add a lot of infrastructure to make the above possible.
sparc64 is now broken, most likely because of insufficient identity mapping of physical memory.

755 6858 d 17 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Change page_mapping_find/insert interfaces to take as_t * as first argument
and not asid_t as second argument. This change was necessitated by the
removal of mapping array from as_area_t and the fact that an address
space doesn't have an ASID when it is created.

754 6858 d 18 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Remove address space area mapping array.
The information is to be stored directly in page tables.
This is to better support 64-bit systems which can have
fairly large address space areas.

727 6869 d 20 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ New ASID management subsystem (initial work, more is required).
Some TLB invalidation changes.

718 6873 d 21 h decky /kernel/trunk/ interface change: as_area_load_mapping -> as_area_set_mapping (set single page mapping)
map init directly from the physical frames it is loaded in

711 6874 d 2 h decky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ fix wrong frame memory access
704 6876 d 2 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Make various mips32 tlb manipulation functions preserve EntryHi register.

Cleanup and more precise comments for previous commit.

703 6876 d 5 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Memory management work.
- vm.* -> as.* (as like address space is, imho, more fitting)
- Don't do TLB shootdown on vm_install(). Some architectures only need to call tlb_invalidate_asid().
- Don't allocate all frames for as_area in as_area_create(), but let them be allocated on-demand by as_page_fault().
- Add high-level page fault handler as_page_fault().
- Add as_area_load_mapping().
