2089 6370 d 20 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2087 6371 d 16 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentaion and formatting changes even Martin will like :-)
2071 6381 d 13 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2042 6415 d 17 h decky /trunk/kernel/ introduce uncounted threads, whose accounting doesn't affect accumulated task accounting
run tests in kconsole thread again

2039 6415 d 21 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ accumulate task accounting, run tests as separate kernel task
2019 6418 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/ prepare for new test infrastructure
2005 6429 d 18 h decky /trunk/ update rd
2002 6429 d 20 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ rd work
2000 6431 d 22 h decky /trunk/kernel/ move files to more proper locations
1999 6431 d 23 h decky /trunk/ start RAM disk support
1901 6494 d 18 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Make SMP related parts of main.c more generic.
Move initialization of local APIC to architecture specific code.
Add arch_post_cpu_init() to support the above.

1855 6522 d 18 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ sparc64 work.

Fix bug introduced in revision 1852. When fixing CWP,
the input registers of the current window (i.e. output
registers of the window belonging to the interrupted
context) must be preserved. Preserve those registers
in memory. Sure there exist more efficient ways how to
copy the inputs.

Simplify before_thread_runs_arch(), resp. after_thread_ran_arch(),
and make them install, resp. uninstall, DTLB locked mapping for
eventual userspace window buffer.

1854 6522 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Define architecture-specific thread sub-constructors and sub-destructors on all architectures.
Define the THREAD_FLAG_USPACE which means that the thread runs in user space.
The forementioned changes allow for allocating of user window buffer on sparc64
threads that execute in userspace.

A lot of formatting and indentation fixes.

1787 6571 d 15 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1729 6595 d 9 h decky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/main/ coding style changes
1705 6598 d 22 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1702 6599 d 19 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1662 6605 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/main/ Responsive kconsole after test finished.
1659 6605 d 1 h vana /kernel/trunk/generic/src/main/ No uspace if tests
1581 6608 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Detach kmp thread after joining it.
Extend assertion in thread_destroy() to not panic when threads are destroyed in their Unded state.

1576 6608 d 14 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Make use of thread_join_timeout() and thread_detach() in kernel.

Improved comments in slab.h.

1341 6628 d 12 h cejka /kernel/trunk/generic/src/main/ Added capability to register IRQs to tasks.
1297 6636 d 18 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add SYS_CAP_GRANT and SYS_CAP_REVOKE syscalls.
Move SYS_PREEMPT_CONTROL to ddi.c.
Add some comments and fix some small issues.

1248 6646 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add some @file doxygen comments and improve already existing comments.
1196 6657 d 20 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Printf ported back from uspace to kernel.
Printf calls changed to match new conventions.

1174 6661 d 23 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Start capabilities support.
1062 6688 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ It is now possible to associate symbolic names with both threads and tasks.
More verbose kconsole threads, tasks and scheduler commands.

1042 6688 d 21 h decky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/main/ more verbose warning
1040 6688 d 21 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Changed ipc to use spinlocks instead of mutexes again.
Fixed loading inits to set nameservice as the first loaded process.
Lot of TODO in ipc done.

1037 6688 d 22 h decky /kernel/trunk/ support for more init tasks
(might break some archs yet)

1027 6689 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Implemented callback IPC call (connect_to_me).
973 6690 d 21 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added simpler userspace starting.
965 6691 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added skeleton name service.
Cleanup for IPC to use mutexes instead of spinlocks.

955 6691 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added kernel IPC functionality.
938 6692 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Basic support for loading ELF object files.
ia64, amd64, ia32 working.
mips32 requires some attention.

820 6724 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Convert size_t, count_t and index_t to 64-bits on 64-bit architectures.
Change some pfn_t usages to count_t, size_t and index_t.

817 6724 d 19 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Small cleanup.
794 6726 d 18 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added MIPS userspace. Currently can't make it work in gxemul.
756 6732 d 10 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Memory management work.
Remove the last (i.e. 'root') argument from page_mapping_insert() and page_mapping_find().
Page table address is now extracted from the first (i.e. 'as') argument.
Add a lot of infrastructure to make the above possible.
sparc64 is now broken, most likely because of insufficient identity mapping of physical memory.

754 6733 d 10 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Remove address space area mapping array.
The information is to be stored directly in page tables.
This is to better support 64-bit systems which can have
fairly large address space areas.
