2697 6138 d 17 h decky /trunk/kernel/ amd64: shorten kernel address space by 2 GB to support proper mapping of more than 2 GB of physical memory
2626 6189 d 20 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ Support for 5 payload arguments for IPC irq notifications and the pseudo code.
2572 6241 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Remove duplicit implementation of strlen() in kernel, rename is_digit(),
is_white() and co. to their standard names (e.g. isdigit(), isspace()) and
remove duplicit implementation of isdigit(). Fix cstyle in kernel printf()
implementation.

2462 6361 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Replace gcc-specific __FUNCTION__ with C99 __func__.
suncc's xregs=no%float can be used only on sparc64.

2319 6388 d 20 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ run mcall only on active CPUs
2275 6408 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ add fancy uptime kconsole command
2227 6420 d 0 h decky /trunk/kernel/ start shutdown infrastructure
2224 6420 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ detach joined thread
2223 6420 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/ add mcall0 command (calling a function on each CPU)
2216 6421 d 10 h decky /trunk/ make thread ID 64 bit (task ID is 64 bit already)
cleanup thread syscalls

2141 6432 d 7 h jermar /trunk/ The Ultimate Solution To Illegal Virtual Aliases.
It is better to avoid them completely than to fight them.
Switch the sparc64 port to 16K pages. The TLBs and TSBs
continue to operate with 8K pages only. Page tables and
other generic parts operate with 16K pages.

Because the MMU doesn't support 16K directly, each 16K
page is emulated by a pair of 8K pages. With 16K pages,
illegal aliases cannot be created in 16K D-cache.

2114 6482 d 16 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ explicit typecast
2113 6482 d 18 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ explicit typecast, fix signed/unsigned comparison
2108 6483 d 19 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ Cleanup kconsole.c
2089 6490 d 17 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2071 6501 d 10 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2051 6530 d 19 h decky /trunk/kernel/ quiet mode
2050 6530 d 20 h decky /trunk/kernel/ benchmarking with statistics (initial)
2042 6535 d 14 h decky /trunk/kernel/ introduce uncounted threads, whose accounting doesn't affect accumulated task accounting
run tests in kconsole thread again

2039 6535 d 18 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ accumulate task accounting, run tests as separate kernel task
2030 6536 d 18 h decky /trunk/kernel/ thread CPU cycles accounting
2027 6537 d 18 h decky /trunk/kernel/ cleanup kernel tests infrastructure
2020 6538 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/ integrate more tests
2019 6538 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/ prepare for new test infrastructure
2015 6540 d 10 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

1972 6574 d 17 h jermar /trunk/ Modify selected function to consume less stack space.

Avoid flushw instruction in the sparc64 loader.

1929 6593 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ ipc_irq_send_msg(NULL, 0, 0, 0) is definitively a bug
1924 6594 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ For the sake of clarity, get rid of negative INR for virtual interrupts.
This way, the code can hurt performance on systems where the non-negative klog INR overlaps
with a frequently used INR such as system clock on amd64 and ia32.

1923 6594 d 10 h jermar /trunk/ Replace the old IRQ dispatcher and IPC notifier with new implementation.
Note that all architectures except for sparc64 are now broken
and don't even compile.

1888 6626 d 13 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1787 6691 d 12 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6698 d 13 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1760 6709 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed interface of frame_alloc/free to use address of frame instead of the pfn.
This makes it impossible to use >4GB of memory on 32-bit machines, but who cares...

1735 6714 d 20 h decky /kernel/trunk/ make kernel prints case consistent
1712 6716 d 11 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Send to uspace notification about end of kconsole mode.
1708 6716 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix some broken doxygen comments.
1705 6718 d 19 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1702 6719 d 16 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1695 6721 d 13 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ Inform the user about the kernel relinquishing the console on continue command.
1693 6721 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Modified ipc/irq to be able to pass up to 3 arguments to userspace.
