1827 6640 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/xen32/src/ print memory map
1824 6640 d 8 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/xen32/ xen32: use writable page tables, cleanup mm
1823 6640 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work.
Dump take_over_tlb_and_tt() and add its assembly language replacement.

1822 6640 d 14 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work.
1. Formatting fixes.
2. When writing to DMMU ASI's, simple membar() can be used in place of flush().
3. Substantial changes in the way the TLB is taken over.
4. Remove unneeded functions.

This is the first revision that also runs on a real world Ultra 5 with UltraSPARC IIi
processor.

Note that 3. needs further work as the current implementation depends on the fact
that the compiler will use registers for local variables in take_over_tlb_and_tt().
Rewrite of that function into assembly is to follow.

1807 6655 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/xen32/ fork directories

1804 6655 d 13 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/xen32/ fork Xen32 makefile and linker script
1802 6656 d 0 h decky /trunk/ cleanup and unify the build system
1793 6658 d 14 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Change hw_map() on sparc64 to use virtual addresses that are
beyond the end of physical memory. It is beneficial in two
ways: first, physical memory is no longer being wasted by
otherwise necessary calls to frame_alloc() and, second,
virtual addresses for devices are now correctly allocated
and do not overlap with the 4M TLB-locked mapping for
kernel text and data.

1792 6659 d 3 h jermar /trunk/ Move functionality of tlb_arch_init() to take_over_tlb_and_tt().
Call take_over_tlb_and_tt() very early after the kernel starts
executing.

1790 6659 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ Remove OpenFirmware calls from kernel/ entirely.

Switch the sparc64 port to use bootinfo.

Copy memcpy from boot/ to sparc64 kernel/ and
adjust it for memcpy_from/to_uspace.

1789 6659 d 10 h jermar /trunk/ Fix ofw_memmap() in boot infrastructure.
The cell size is 32-bit and not equal sizeof(ofw_arg_t).
Define architecture dependant #address-cells and #size-cells for cases
the respective properties are missing in the OpenFirmware device tree.
The algorithm now works both for ppc32 and sparc64.

Add memmap_t, screen_t and keyboard_t to sparc64 bootinfo structure.
Be more verbose during sparc64 boot.

Move ALIGN_UP to generic part of boot/.

Change header guards in several places so that they don't contain double underscore.

1787 6661 d 7 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1784 6662 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Sync OpenFirmware functionality with boot.
Random cleanup.

1780 6668 d 8 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1777 6668 d 10 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Make sparc64 kernel assume it is loaded by our loader.
1776 6668 d 10 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/mips32/ Typos and indentation fixes for mips32 and some generic files as well.
1774 6668 d 17 h decky /kernel/trunk/ initial support for Xen
1770 6669 d 10 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/sparc64/src/mm/ Fix sparc64 to compile again.
1769 6671 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/ Change cache_error exception to take istate * as a parameter.
Make cache_error() print epc in the panic message.
Do not rely on the compiler to generate 'nop' after 'beq' in atomic_add()
and put it there explicitly.
Indentation fixes and cosmetic changes.

1767 6676 d 15 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Remove unneeded FRAME_PANIC.
Fix some things broken by last commit.

1766 6676 d 15 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed frame_alloc call, cleaned a lot of stuff, fixed some not-perfectly-correct error handling.
1762 6678 d 1 h decky /kernel/trunk/arch/ppc32/src/cpu/ ppc32 identify known CPUs
1760 6679 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed interface of frame_alloc/free to use address of frame instead of the pfn.
This makes it impossible to use >4GB of memory on 32-bit machines, but who cares...

1758 6682 d 8 h decky /kernel/trunk/arch/ppc32/src/mm/ remove ASIDs from Page Hash Table
1756 6682 d 13 h decky /kernel/trunk/arch/ppc32/ don't use hardcoded PIC address
