2055 6445 d 21 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ sparc64 work:
- No need to lock kernel stack and userspace window buffer into DTLB.

2054 6446 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Fix important comment in kernel/arch/sparc64/src/proc/scheduler.c.

Improve framebuffer code.

Formatting and indentation fixes.

2049 6449 d 17 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ More formatting and indentation changes.
2048 6450 d 10 h jermar /trunk/ Formatting and indentation changes.
2044 6452 d 11 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ On sparc64's tick interrupt, adjust the TICK_COMPARE register instead of the TICK
register. The TICK register now increments linearily and can be used by the get_cycle()
function.

2043 6452 d 11 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ Make the sparc64 kernel compile again.
2038 6453 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Remove old stuff.
2016 6455 d 16 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/mm/ The D-cache line size is actually 32 bytes on UltraSPARC II, IIi (and also IIe).
2015 6457 d 9 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

2010 6462 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/mm/ Fix comment.
2009 6462 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Initial support for handling illegal virtual aliases on sparc64.
2008 6464 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Add dcache_flush() function that flushes D-Cache on sparc64.
2001 6468 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentation and comment fixes.
1996 6474 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add option to compile the sparc64 kernel without the TTE_CV bit support.
The bit is not used by default now.
Enabling it may theoretically lead to physical memory inconsistencies until code that
mitigates the problem is written.

1994 6474 d 15 h decky /trunk/ Add BGR 0888 visual for Ultra 60
1993 6474 d 16 h decky /trunk/ make framebuffer code more generic
1988 6476 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/mm/ Update comment and move initialization code away from application processor codepath.
1987 6476 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ Take the possible difference between kernel and physical address into account in TSB and userspace window buffer
allocation and deallocation code.

1986 6476 d 13 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/drivers/ The FFB framebuffer looks more like 32b
1984 6477 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work:
- untested support for Psycho PCI controller

1983 6478 d 13 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/mm/ sparc64 work:
- fix computation of the frame allocator configuration frame
- mark the first physical frame unavailable, no matter what is its address

Because of that, we can now boot past the frame_arch_init() on the Ultra 60 now.

1982 6478 d 16 h jermar /trunk/ Modify the sparc64 startup code to not cause MMU traps before it takes over the TLB and
the trap table. Fix several PA2KA and KA2PA omittions or errors. Fix configuration to pass
the DEFS variable along.

1978 6479 d 9 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 code to support physical memory that starts on non-zero addresses.
Still needs to be tested on systems with such setup.

1977 6480 d 5 h jermar /trunk/ Fix bad indentation in ofw.c

sparc64 work:
o Fix copyright in main.c
o Move code from unused parts of the trap table.

1976 6485 d 14 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 context does not have to include the CLEANWIN register.
1975 6489 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ Typo.
1960 6500 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/mm/ Fix the following bug:

Ticket #3 data_access_exception after killing task on sparc64

1954 6501 d 7 h jermar /trunk/ Minor changes. Some coding style fixes and also a type (tee vs. tree).
One AS -> as change.

1946 6508 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ sparc64 work.
- Improve panic screen on data_access_exception
by dumping contents of DSFSR and DSFAR.
- Change the FHC enable interrupt code to only
set the IMAP_V bit.

1931 6510 d 10 h jermar /trunk/ Add support for IPC notifications even for polled ns16550 based keyboard.
1923 6511 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ Replace the old IRQ dispatcher and IPC notifier with new implementation.
Note that all architectures except for sparc64 are now broken
and don't even compile.

1922 6512 d 16 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ More IRQ stuff.
Modify the IRQ hash table functions to support lookup based on inr and devno.
Add method member to irq_t.

1921 6513 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Changes in ns16550 and z8530 drivers.
Add some stuff for IRQ notifications to irq_t.

1920 6513 d 17 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Move the new IRQ redirector to ddi/.
Add function for assigning unique device numbers.
Change sparc64/drivers/kbd.c to assign devno to keyboard.

1919 6514 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Prototypical implementation of new IRQ redirector in sparc64.
The new code can support shared IRQs in kernel (and multiple IRQs per device).
Userspace support is yet to be written.
The only architecture that uses this code is actually sparc64 only.

1918 6518 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/mm/ Omitted comma.
1917 6518 d 10 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work:
- hw_map() can now support up to 8M requests
- CPU stacks are now locked in DTLB of the respective processor
- kernel in the boot phase no longer relies on the stack provided by OpenFirmware
- instead of of doing FLUSHW during kernel startup, simply set the
window state registers to the wanted state
- NWINDOW -> NWINDOWS
- Add/fix some comments and copyrights.

1916 6519 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/trap/ Small change of code organization.
No functional difference.

1915 6519 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ A quote from from SPARC V9 specification:

The Y register is deprecated; it is provided only for compatibility with previous versions
of the architecture. It should not be used in new SPARC-V9 software. It is
recommended that all instructions that reference the Y register (i.e., SMUL,
SMULcc, UMUL, UMULcc, MULScc, SDIV, SDIVcc, UDIV, UDIVcc, RDY, and
WRY) be avoided. See the appropriate pages in Appendix A, “Instruction Definitions,”
for suitable substitute instructions.

Still gcc is generating code which uses Y and some of the instructions above.
This change modifies the preemptible_handler() to preserve the Y register
across preemption.

1912 6520 d 18 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Separate mapping of EBUS interrupts into two parts: EBUS and PCI.
