4313 5562 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Convert sgcn to the new HID wiring mechanism.
4311 5562 d 8 h decky /trunk/ change the way how input devices are wired together according to ticket #44
(also the proposal http://lists.modry.cz/cgi-bin/private/helenos-devel/2009-March/002507.html)

4283 5568 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/drivers/ repair a bug in calculating the address of hardware devices
(no cookies today :))

4282 5568 d 10 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ repair two glitches in memory management
(no beer today :))

4277 5569 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ On sparc64, do fast indentity mapping only for physical memory.
For addresses above physical memory, such as I/O devices,
fall through to the C miss handler and map the memory noncacheably.
Replace deprecated Bicc instructions with proper Bcc instructions.

4276 5569 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/trap/ Replace the deprecated Bicc instructions with proper Bcc instructions.
4270 5573 d 1 h decky /trunk/ fix serengeti console
4267 5573 d 22 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/ str_ncpy() vs str_cpy(). TODO: The same in userspace.
4223 5580 d 5 h decky /trunk/kernel/ represent special keystrokes (cursor arrows, page up/down, delete, etc.) as appropriate Unicode characters
do not parse ANSI control sequences in kconsole, but in serial line driver

4220 5580 d 13 h decky /trunk/kernel/ update for string changes
4203 5582 d 3 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/drivers/ Output CRLF rather than LFCR as the former is the standard one.
4202 5582 d 5 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ fix compilation on sparc64
4148 5596 d 10 h decky /trunk/ as kernel little brother drivers are not needed anymore, the device numbers do not have to be correlated between kernel and uspace in any way
introduce new syscall sys_device_assign_devno() for generating system-wide unique device numbers for uspace

4140 5597 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/mm/ Update comments for the new hw_map(), which was committed in r4138.
4138 5597 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ Revert the previous commit.
4137 5597 d 0 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/ Make optionality of symbol information less intrusive per Jakub's request. Also, improve symtab function names and update their semantics.
4132 5597 d 23 h svoboda /trunk/ Make kernel symbol information optional.
4119 5601 d 12 h decky /trunk/ get back support for framebuffer and keyboard for sparc64 (generic)
4111 5602 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Update the SGCN driver to match the latest character I/O changes.
4103 5602 d 3 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ update for the new scheme of wiring device drivers to keyboard/serial modules
4076 5603 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ Fix SMP on sparc64.
4072 5603 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/ Fix sparc64 builds without srln.
4071 5603 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/ Some additional fixes to the sgcn driver.
4070 5603 d 3 h rimsky /trunk/ SGCN driver modified to reflect the new keyboard driver architecture. Making the Serengeti bootable image smaller by not including some servers/applications.
4047 5607 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ Improve the configuration file.

- Support for easy configuration with sane defaults.

- Fix the ambiguous MACHINE variable by introducing the PROCESSOR variable.

- Eliminate some unnecessarily detailed questions by providing defaults for the
Serengeti machine.

- Introduce CONFIG_HID_IN and CONFIG_HID_OUT variables. They help to limit the
number of offered HID devices. In the future, they can be also used to
configure the way how the serial controller devices are connected to the
keyboard / serial line modules on some platforms where we can't autodetect.

4042 5607 d 5 h jermar /trunk/ Complete emancipation of kernel serial controller drivers (i8042, ns16550 and
z8530). Provide a common keyboard module for PC and Sun keyboards. The serial
line module is still to follow.

4032 5609 d 1 h svoboda /trunk/ Init-task names for sparc64 (that's the final one, whew).
4026 5610 d 22 h jermar /trunk/ Make the kbd port drivers platform neutral by using PIO functions.
The kernel now supplies the physical address and the kernel virtual address.

4023 5610 d 23 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/arch/ Unify arch_pre_main() comments.
4021 5611 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ There is no need to define ioport{8,16,32}_t types for each architecture separately.
4011 5611 d 23 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/ String functions should be declared in string.h (and implemented in string.c) in the kernel.
3982 5614 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Do not set sysinfo for uspace drivers directly in the kernel drivers.
3978 5615 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ Userspace driver for OBIO. This will make it possible to clear interrupts from
user space on UltraSPARC IIi and systems with Psycho. Not tested.

3973 5615 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/ kernel memory management revisited (phase 2): map physical memory according to zones
- ia32: register reserved and ACPI zones
- pareas are now used only for mapping of present physical memory (hw_area() is gone)
- firmware zones and physical addresses outside any zones are allowed to be mapped generally
- fix nasty antient bug in zones_insert_zone()

3969 5616 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Add simple userspace FHC driver.
Modify the z8530 userspace driver
to send BUS_CLEAR_INTERRUPT
notification to the FHC driver.

3961 5620 d 5 h jermar /trunk/ Unbreak sparc64.
Due to the lack of userspace bus drivers for the z8530 and ns16550,
we are currently handling exactly one interrupt from these devices
in userspace.

3941 5622 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Let IRQ claim methods take irq_t * instead of the instance argument.
3940 5622 d 3 h decky /trunk/kernel/ make hw_area API more generic
this allows mapping of EGA VRAM on ia32/amd64

3935 5622 d 21 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/sparc64/src/drivers/ Fix sparc64 build.
3929 5622 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Introduce ioport8_t, ioport16_t and ioport32_t. These types are to be used with
pio_read_n() and pio_write_n() functions. This breaks everything.
