2517 6234 d 9 h vana /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/include/ Missing header file
2516 6235 d 0 h vana /trunk/kernel/ IA64 rest of neaded changes to work with simics keyboard
2515 6235 d 0 h vana /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/include/ IA64 legacy I/O
2514 6235 d 0 h vana /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/ IA64 Makefile changes for simics
2513 6235 d 0 h vana /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/src/ IA64 simics keyboard support
2512 6235 d 0 h vana /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/src/ IA64 loader parameter
2462 6330 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Replace gcc-specific __FUNCTION__ with C99 __func__.
suncc's xregs=no%float can be used only on sparc64.

2460 6330 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Better infrastructure for building with different compilers.
Separate ICC_CFLAGS added, SUNCC_CFLAGS extended.

2454 6331 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ A bit of infrastructure for building with different compilers.
CFLAGS split into GCC_CFLAGS and SUNCC_CFLAGS.
As of now, there are no separate ICC_CFLAGS, but can be easily added.

2227 6388 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/ start shutdown infrastructure
2216 6390 d 1 h decky /trunk/ make thread ID 64 bit (task ID is 64 bit already)
cleanup thread syscalls

2170 6396 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Simplify synchronization in as_switch().
The function was oversynchronized, which
was causing deadlocks on the address
space mutex.

Now, address spaces can only be switched
when the asidlock is held. This also protects
stealing of ASIDs. No other synchronization
is necessary.

2125 6445 d 1 h decky /trunk/ experimental support for Objective C
(disabled by default)

2110 6452 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/ Minor cleanup in ia64.
2107 6453 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ When clock() is called by an external interrupt dispatched by the IRQ dispatcher,
no spinlock can be held or the kernel will not be preemptive. This fixes Ticket #24.

Formating and indentation fixes.

2089 6459 d 8 h decky /trunk/ huge type system cleanup
remove cyclical type dependencies across multiple header files
many minor coding style fixes

2083 6465 d 8 h decky /trunk/kernel/ typedef elimination
2082 6465 d 8 h decky /trunk/ __asm__ __volatile__ -> asm volatile
2079 6466 d 2 h decky /trunk/kernel/ remove some typedefs in favor of anonymous structures
2071 6470 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2065 6483 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Coding style fixes and formatting improvements.
2064 6484 d 0 h vana /trunk/ SIMICS added as a simulator kernel runs on
2060 6488 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/src/ Fix typo.
2057 6497 d 12 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Fix all remaining mistmatches in width of byte swapping functions for ia64,
ppc32, ppc64, amd64, mips32 and ia32.

2023 6507 d 2 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ add dummy cycle.h
2007 6516 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Introduce page colors. So far, only sparc64 uses correct page color bits. Other architectures have a dummy define
specifying zero bits for a page color.

There is a new check of page color in as_area_share(). Because of lack of support for this in the userspace, the
check has been #ifef'ed out.

2003 6518 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ cleanup endian conversion macros
1945 6560 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/ ia64 work.
Move keyboard polling to a dedicated kernel thread.
Console initialization and console related sysinfo setup
can be now done in a single function.

1944 6560 d 4 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add mutual exclusion to keyboard grab and release
functions on sparc64, ppc32, mips32 and ia64.

1942 6561 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ Convert ia64 to the new IRQ and notification scheme.
1937 6561 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ remove orphaned functions
1901 6583 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Make SMP related parts of main.c more generic.
Move initialization of local APIC to architecture specific code.
Add arch_post_cpu_init() to support the above.

1891 6590 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ sparc64 work:
- Experimental support for TSB (Translation Storage Buffer).

1890 6591 d 9 h jermar /trunk/ - Create a dedicated slab cache for as_t objects and switch from malloc/free to slab_alloc/slab_free for
them.

- Slightly fix and improve both the kernel and userspace atomic_add() on sparc64.

- More TSB work on the sparc64 front.

1889 6592 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Fix bug in mm/as.c:
- as_area_destroy() should not work with AS but as

sparc64 work:
- start implementing TSB support

1888 6595 d 4 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1882 6596 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Support for sparc64 FPU context.
1881 6597 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work:
- find a CPU node and read its clock_frequency attribute
- implement asm_delay_loop()
- set TICK_COMPARE register according to processor frequency
- small improvements at random places

OpenFirmware work:
- two new functions for walking the device tree

Generic boot loader work:
- added basic string functions

Usual pile of indentation and formatting fixes.

1877 6600 d 12 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Coding style fixes.
Remove unneeded sparc64 dummy functions.

1854 6611 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Define architecture-specific thread sub-constructors and sub-destructors on all architectures.
Define the THREAD_FLAG_USPACE which means that the thread runs in user space.
The forementioned changes allow for allocating of user window buffer on sparc64
threads that execute in userspace.

A lot of formatting and indentation fixes.
