4363 5535 d 19 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/src/drivers/ Kernel Ski driver should pull more keys at a time, similarly to the user-space driver.
4329 5548 d 3 h svoboda /trunk/ Stop userspace kbd driver from polling when switching to kcon. Also, fix swapped reversed enabling/disabling of polling in kernel sgcn and ski drivers.
4313 5551 d 19 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Convert sgcn to the new HID wiring mechanism.
4311 5552 d 3 h decky /trunk/ change the way how input devices are wired together according to ticket #44
(also the proposal http://lists.modry.cz/cgi-bin/private/helenos-devel/2009-March/002507.html)

4272 5559 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ Prevent optimizing ia64's PIO away.
This solves the frequent hangs of HelenOS/ia64 in i8042_init().

4267 5563 d 16 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/ str_ncpy() vs str_cpy(). TODO: The same in userspace.
4223 5569 d 23 h decky /trunk/kernel/ represent special keystrokes (cursor arrows, page up/down, delete, etc.) as appropriate Unicode characters
do not parse ANSI control sequences in kconsole, but in serial line driver

4220 5570 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/ update for string changes
4148 5586 d 4 h decky /trunk/ as kernel little brother drivers are not needed anymore, the device numbers do not have to be correlated between kernel and uspace in any way
introduce new syscall sys_device_assign_devno() for generating system-wide unique device numbers for uspace

4137 5586 d 19 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/ Make optionality of symbol information less intrusive per Jakub's request. Also, improve symtab function names and update their semantics.
4132 5587 d 17 h svoboda /trunk/ Make kernel symbol information optional.
4122 5591 d 5 h decky /trunk/ bring back HID on ia64
4114 5591 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ Fix one RAW dependency.
4103 5591 d 21 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ update for the new scheme of wiring device drivers to keyboard/serial modules
4060 5596 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/ Clean up ski handling in kernel.
4044 5596 d 22 h svoboda /trunk/ Userspace driver for ski keyboard port.
4043 5596 d 22 h jermar /trunk/ Serial line module.
4042 5596 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Complete emancipation of kernel serial controller drivers (i8042, ns16550 and
z8530). Provide a common keyboard module for PC and Sun keyboards. The serial
line module is still to follow.

4031 5599 d 16 h svoboda /trunk/ Init-task names for ia64.
4028 5599 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Fix typo.
4026 5600 d 16 h jermar /trunk/ Make the kbd port drivers platform neutral by using PIO functions.
The kernel now supplies the physical address and the kernel virtual address.

4023 5600 d 18 h svoboda /trunk/kernel/arch/ Unify arch_pre_main() comments.
4021 5600 d 19 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ There is no need to define ioport{8,16,32}_t types for each architecture separately.
3982 5603 d 20 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Do not set sysinfo for uspace drivers directly in the kernel drivers.
3973 5605 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/ kernel memory management revisited (phase 2): map physical memory according to zones
- ia32: register reserved and ACPI zones
- pareas are now used only for mapping of present physical memory (hw_area() is gone)
- firmware zones and physical addresses outside any zones are allowed to be mapped generally
- fix nasty antient bug in zones_insert_zone()

3971 5606 d 16 h vana /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/src/mm/ Fix I/O access to identicaly mapped space
3963 5609 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ The kernel i8042 driver should be instance-neutral.
3962 5610 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ia64/src/ski/ Make ia64 for ski build again.
Need to implement kernel notifications independent of IRQ notifications.

3941 5611 d 18 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Let IRQ claim methods take irq_t * instead of the instance argument.
3940 5611 d 22 h decky /trunk/kernel/ make hw_area API more generic
this allows mapping of EGA VRAM on ia32/amd64

3934 5612 d 15 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Improve the ns16550 driver.

- The driver support multiple instances.
- It still remembers the last registered IRQ in a global structure (cannot be
easily fixed now)
- Was converted to use PIO directly

3932 5612 d 17 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Kill arch/drivers/ega.h. Provide one-stop shopping
place for architectures with ia32 legacy I/O space.

3930 5612 d 17 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Adapt most of the kernel to ioport8_t, ioport16_t and ioport32_t types.
3929 5612 d 17 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Introduce ioport8_t, ioport16_t and ioport32_t. These types are to be used with
pio_read_n() and pio_write_n() functions. This breaks everything.

3928 5612 d 19 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Kill arch/drivers/i8042.h.
3922 5614 d 17 h decky /trunk/ make arch_pre_main optional, don't force any specific prototype
simplify boot process
mips32: detect number of configured CPUs in msim

3908 5615 d 20 h decky /trunk/ overhaul pareas: use one single physical area for the physical address space not belonging to physical memory
3906 5616 d 16 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ IRQ handlers are using one superfluous argument and an unused elipsis.
On the other hand, IRQ claim functions would need to be passed the instance
argument.

3902 5617 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Introduce a more platform-neutral name for programmed I/O.

The new API looks like pio_read_n() or pio_write_n(), where n is 8, 16 or 32.
The old API (i.e. inb(), inw(), inl(), outb() outw(), outl()) may have made
some people think that the interface is only to be used with the separate I/O
space. That's not the case. This API is to be implemented on all platforms
so that we can finally have really generic kernel device drivers.

3900 5617 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ Get rid of CONFIG_NS16550_INTERRUPT_DRIVEN and CONFIG_I8042_INTERRUPT_DRIVEN.
