2802 5929 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ Fix initialization of answerbox->task in ipc_answerbox_init.
Contributed by Jiri Svoboda.

2797 5930 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Each architecture should only announce its endianity.
The conversion macros should be defined only once.

2794 5931 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Add macros for byte swapping of uint16_t's.
2790 5935 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ Fix typo ALV tree vs. AVL tree.
2784 5945 d 21 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Fortify ia32 and amd64 kernels against mallicious uspace applications that set
DF prior to entering the kernel. For AMD64 syscalls, we don't use the CLD
instruction, but make use of the SFMASK MSR instead. Simics works fine with
it, but QEMU seems to have a problem.

2783 5945 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/amd64/src/cpu/ Fix cstyle.
2781 5950 d 5 h cejka /trunk/ Unified context saving/restoring macros in ppc32.
2780 5950 d 6 h cejka /trunk/ Fixed broken context_offset.h symlinks for mips32eb and ia32xen.
2779 5950 d 6 h cejka /trunk/ Context saving/restoring macros used for mips32.
2777 5950 d 8 h cejka /trunk/ Unified context handling code for amd64.
2775 5950 d 9 h cejka /trunk/kernel/arch/ia32/src/ Added missing ia32/context.S from last commit.
2774 5950 d 9 h cejka /trunk/kernel/arch/ Context.s renamed to context.S for ia32 and fixed links for ia32xen.
Added asm macros for context save/restore and offset definitions.

2772 5952 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/arm32/src/mm/ Fix breakage in arm32 non-debug build.
2767 5954 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/amd64/src/ Fix breakage in non-debug amd64 build.
2765 5955 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ tasklet.c needs to include config.h
2746 5967 d 2 h decky /trunk/kernel/ start merging tasklets (more or less a rewrite)
2745 5967 d 7 h decky /trunk/ code cleanup (mostly signed/unsigned)
allow extra compiler warnings

2726 5985 d 8 h vana /trunk/ Basic IA64 boot and kernel suport for real machines
2725 5988 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/ remove config.memory_size, get_memory_size() and memory_init.{c|d}
the amount of available memory can be calculated from the sizes of the zones
add FRAMES2SIZE, SIZE2KB and SIZE2MB functions/macros (code readability)

2724 5988 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/interrupt/ enlarge description field
2723 5989 d 2 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ remove memory_print_map(), as it duplicates functionality of physmem_print()
2722 5989 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/ convert ARC specific commands to generic ones
2721 5989 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/ convert e820list to a generic physmem command
2720 5989 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/src/mm/ prettyprint tlb command
2719 5989 d 8 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/src/ prettyprint bkpts command
2713 5993 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/amd64/src/boot/ remove fake tab
2712 5993 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/ prettyprint output
2703 6000 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/amd64/ Grow the initial identity mapping from 64M to 4G.
We should not allocate GDT's from above 4G or the amd64 will occassionally
triple-fault again.

2702 6000 d 5 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ia32/src/mm/ change cstyle to human-readable form
2701 6000 d 6 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Fix cstyle and (c) to 2008.
2697 6010 d 5 h decky /trunk/kernel/ amd64: shorten kernel address space by 2 GB to support proper mapping of more than 2 GB of physical memory
2696 6010 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/ initial support for dorder device in MSIM
2692 6014 d 1 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/amd64/ move cpuid tests from amd64.c to boot.S
2684 6018 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Add libc and VFS implementation of lseek(), VFS_SEEK resp.
Add the size member to the VFS node structure (not yet initialized).

2677 6025 d 2 h jermar /trunk/ Rename IPC_M_AS_AREA_SEND to IPC_M_SHARE_OUT. Rename IPC_M_AS_AREA_RECV to
IPC_M_SHARE_IN. Provide user-friendly wrappers for these methods so that even
dummies can get it right. Some applications using simpler protocols still use
these methods directly.

2676 6025 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ Simplify the IPC_M_DATA_WRITE protocol. Do not pass the source address space
virtual address to the recipient. This feature was not used anyway. Now
IPC_M_DATA_WRITE and IPC_M_DATA_READ are feature-aligned.

2662 6032 d 21 h jermar /trunk/ Add support for IPC_M_DATA_READ calls.
2661 6032 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/src/ipc/ Release the IPC_M_DATA_WRITE buffer even if the write is refused by the
recipient.

2660 6032 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Rename IPC_M_DATA_SEND to IPC_M_DATA_WRITE. Now, when we also add
IPC_M_DATA_READ, it will not clash and cause confusion with userspace wrappers
such as ipc_data_receive(). Rename the forementioned wrappers to
ipc_data_write_send(), ipc_data_write_receive() and ipc_data_write_deliver().

2647 6040 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/src/mm/ Fix a bug in anonymous address space area sharing. Call the backend's share
function only if the source area is not already shared. Otherwise increment the
sh_info refcount. Without this fix, the kernel will try to recreate the pagemap
if three and more address space areas attempt to share the same data.
