1104 6768 d 13 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Define atomic_t only once in atomic.h
Change the encapsulated counter type to long so that it supports negative values as well.

1072 6773 d 19 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added debugger to AMD64.
Added automatic debugging of AS if it is not rewritten with zero.
Did small changes to IPC infrastructure.

1060 6774 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added task_print.
Fixed ipc to support connect_me_to.

1053 6774 d 13 h vana /kernel/trunk/ Itanium FPU Lazy context switching... but not so much tested
1050 6774 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added null console for buffering output when no real output available.
Added identity mapper for AMD64 that allows whole physical memory to be
accessed before paging is initialized.

990 6776 d 11 h decky /kernel/trunk/ ppc32: initial stack, memory barriers, atomic operations, stack offset fix
932 6778 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ Allow using direct address as parameter.
931 6778 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ Allow direct address specification.
788 6813 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move list and fifo data types to adt/.
777 6814 d 12 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ added thread list to kconsole.
775 6814 d 16 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added scheduler queues output. The scheduler is buggy - on SMP
the cpus never get tu cpu_sleep, in slab2 test on 4 cpus everything
is on the first cpu.
The slab allocator passes tests in this configuration, but in slightly
different(more efficient) locking order it panics. TODO: Find out why
does it panic.

759 6817 d 4 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Skeleton of SLAB allocator.
677 6845 d 12 h bondari /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Comments to zone console commands
676 6845 d 12 h bondari /kernel/trunk/generic/ Memory zones console command implementation. todo: buddy allocator structures.
673 6846 d 8 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add 'version' and 'cpus' kconsole commands.
Remove leading p from names of p* commands.

668 6850 d 15 h bondari /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ Zones related commands infrastructure for console. Also fixed small bug that caused infinite loop during command parsing
640 6863 d 7 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
CPU identification.

635 6864 d 6 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed kconsole resolution of similar commands.
Add commands to debugger to allow for simple profiling or
calling debug actions if needed.

631 6865 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed cpu halting in debug panic mode.
625 6865 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ We are now almost -Wall clean.
- redefined atomic_t
- deleted many, many unused variables
- some minor code cleanups found using compiler warning.

624 6865 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Add LIST_INITIALIZE() macro to declare and initialize statically allocated lists.
623 6865 d 20 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add SPINLOCK_DECLARE and SPINLOCK_INITIALIZE macros.
SPINLOCK_DECLARE is to be used instead of direct spinlock_t declarations
in dynamically allocated structures on which spinlock_initialize() is called after
their creation.
SPINLOCK_INITIALIZE is to be used instead of direct spinlock_t declarations
of global spinlocks. It declares and initializes the spinlock.
Moreover, both macros are empty on UP so that -Wall warnings about unused structures
get supressed.

614 6868 d 5 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added support for mips breakpoints.
We have a kind of kernel debugger :-)
Breakpoints on JMP/Branch instructions are not supported and
they are reported after the breakpoint is fired and exited as
a BranchDelay exception. If we found a way, how to detect these
instructions, we would be able to support them as 'one-time' breakpoints.

611 6868 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ Fix kconsole so that side-effect command shortcuts do not take effect.
609 6868 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ added support for breakpoints to mips32
608 6868 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ intelligent retyping for set4
607 6868 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed weird simics panic.
Run kconsole, if we panic. This currently works in gxemul,
simics. In mips we need to modify the simulator.
On ia32 we need a function, that would speak directly to the chip
and fetch the character using polling.

606 6868 d 15 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Small kconsole readline changes.
Some mips tweaks to allow for real keyboard support in indy.

603 6869 d 8 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Added set4 command.
602 6869 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Symtab returns correct addresses even when symtab is befor bss.
Some tab completion optimization.

601 6869 d 10 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added some readline functionality to kconsole.
Arrows editing, history, tab completion.

596 6870 d 6 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ kconsole cleanup.
Separate commands from the engine.

594 6870 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ ptlb command (currently usable on mips32 only).
591 6870 d 12 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Fixes in new console.
589 6870 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ Added * operator to symbols.
588 6870 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added support for backspace
- printing '\b' should move the cursor one char to the left
- backspace key should return '\b' to application

585 6870 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ String constants without spaces are now supported by call commands.
For more we would need some lexer.
The call? commands are not compatibile with stdarg functions on AMD
architectures, because of the calling sequence.

582 6870 d 15 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added calling of generic functions to kconsole.
579 6870 d 19 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Removed unnecessary interrupts_disable from kconsole.
Fixed calling gets() with interrupts_disable.

575 6871 d 6 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added generic exc_register/exc_dispatch functions,
copied from ia32 architecture. Currently only mips32 uses them.

The chardev_t can now be both input & output device (was
needed for serial driver).

Broken other architectures - ia64, sparc, powerpc will not compile.

Mips32 supports input on all msim, gxemul, indy(tested emulation
in gxemul, loses characters), simics. Simics serial line
is done using polling, I was unable to make it produce
an interrupt when the key was pressed.
