1705 6629 d 0 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1704 6629 d 3 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Fixed first letter size of subgroup name in Others.
1702 6629 d 21 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1700 6630 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ Fixed frame allocator to allocate correct number of frames for configuration.
(It couldn't fail before, but in some circumstances it could allocate more
then needed).

1698 6630 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ipc/ Improve comments.
Replace 'process' with 'task'.

1695 6631 d 17 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ Inform the user about the kernel relinquishing the console on continue command.
1693 6631 d 18 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Modified ipc/irq to be able to pass up to 3 arguments to userspace.
1687 6632 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Fix double thread_join() in ktaskgc.
In thread_create(), lock TASK with interrupts disabled again.
thread_join_timeout() can use ordinary waitq_sleep_timeout().

1684 6633 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ #ifdef more debugging printf()'s.
1682 6633 d 3 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fast framebuffer scrolling in kconsole. Eats some memory though.
1681 6633 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/synch/ Avoid tricky race condition between waitq_wakeup() and the pair
of waitq_timeouted_sleep() and waitq_interrupt_sleep().
Mutual exclusion != Synchronization.

1680 6633 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Add interrupts_restore() to thread_join_timeout(). Note that this is not necessary, because
waitq_sleep_finish() does the job for thread_join_timeout(). However, the code looks more
correct in the form with interrupts_restore().

1677 6633 d 21 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ Fixed error in page number computing, that could almost never appear.
1676 6633 d 22 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Forgotten interrupts_restore().
1669 6634 d 18 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ipc/ Small consitency ipc update.
1667 6634 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Print spurious interrupt messages only when compiled with CONFIG_DEBUG.
Print warning about looping spinlock only after 100000000 unsuccessfull attempts to gain the spinlock.

1666 6634 d 22 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Slightly better test.
Made call keys work on ia64.

1662 6635 d 2 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/main/ Responsive kconsole after test finished.
1661 6635 d 2 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Collect Undead threads while waiting to join uinit.
Rename ktaskkill to ktaskgc.

1659 6635 d 3 h vana /kernel/trunk/generic/src/main/ No uspace if tests
1643 6636 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ IPC made faster in non-debug mode.
1636 6636 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move comment.

Do TLB shootdown also when allocating new ASID.

1628 6636 d 12 h decky /kernel/trunk/ fixes
1625 6636 d 12 h decky /kernel/trunk/ ppc32 uspace keyboard support
1613 6636 d 19 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/console/ Fixed klog to use correct vsnprintf.
1612 6636 d 19 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/lib/ Generic version of memcpy that is resistent towards unaligned memory accesses.
1605 6636 d 23 h cejka /kernel/trunk/generic/src/printf/ Another kernel printf return value fix.
1604 6636 d 23 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Fixed printf return value.
1600 6637 d 2 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Prevent task killing of kernel by returning EPERM on such a request.
1599 6637 d 2 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ Blacklist first frame to avoid problems with allocator.
1597 6637 d 3 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added possibility to interrupt task at exit from interrupt routine.
1595 6637 d 3 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added kernel circular buffer klog.
Added automatic killing of tasks raising inappropriate exceptions.
TODO: Fix vsnprintf return value(and behaviour according to specs) and remove workaround in klog.

1594 6637 d 10 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/mm/ Never ever walk a B+tree as you destroy it. Or vice versa.
1593 6637 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/synch/ When interrupted from sleep, pending timeouts must be unregistered.
1591 6637 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Small updates to ipc.
1589 6637 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Improve comments regarding liveliness of threads and tasks.
1588 6637 d 17 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ In task_kill(), remove the task from the tasks_btree before proceeding.
Thus, when the kernel finds the task in the tasks_btree and locks it before
releasing tasks_lock, it is guaranteed that the task will not be destroyed
until the lock is held. If the kernel needs to unlock the task, do some operation
and lock it again, it should increase its refcount before doing so. In that case,
when releasing the lock, it must decrement the refcount and if it reaches
zero, it must call task_destroy().

1587 6637 d 18 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ task_destroy() implementation, fixes in as_destroy() and task_kill().
This is the first version of HelenOS that would perform complete cleanup leading from thread to destruction of address space.

1586 6637 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/synch/ futex_cleanup() implementation.
1585 6637 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Kill task when its main thread exits.
