664 6761 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
Interrupt Levels 1 - 15 serviced.
Minor changes in the exc_* functions.

662 6763 d 17 h decky /kernel/trunk/ initial syscall table support
651 6767 d 16 h decky /kernel/trunk/ remove arch/$ARCH/boot where not needed, change global Makefile accordingly
remove early_mapping() (breaks ppc32 for now)
change early heap initialization (required for init to work)

650 6767 d 18 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
Implement interrupt_disable(), interrupt_enable(), interrupt_restore() and interrupt_read() functions.
Fix context save/restore to save/restore register %i7.

631 6771 d 19 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed cpu halting in debug panic mode.
629 6771 d 21 h decky /kernel/trunk/ init task loading (yet buggy)
628 6771 d 22 h decky /kernel/trunk/ ia32: floppy boot image uses GRUB
625 6772 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ We are now almost -Wall clean.
- redefined atomic_t
- deleted many, many unused variables
- some minor code cleanups found using compiler warning.

624 6772 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Add LIST_INITIALIZE() macro to declare and initialize statically allocated lists.
623 6772 d 6 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add SPINLOCK_DECLARE and SPINLOCK_INITIALIZE macros.
SPINLOCK_DECLARE is to be used instead of direct spinlock_t declarations
in dynamically allocated structures on which spinlock_initialize() is called after
their creation.
SPINLOCK_INITIALIZE is to be used instead of direct spinlock_t declarations
of global spinlocks. It declares and initializes the spinlock.
Moreover, both macros are empty on UP so that -Wall warnings about unused structures
get supressed.

622 6772 d 20 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Better gcc CALLER implementation
615 6774 d 5 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Cleanups to make it compile with -Wall. Did not catch everything yet.
609 6774 d 23 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ added support for breakpoints to mips32
607 6775 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed weird simics panic.
Run kconsole, if we panic. This currently works in gxemul,
simics. In mips we need to modify the simulator.
On ia32 we need a function, that would speak directly to the chip
and fetch the character using polling.

601 6775 d 20 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added some readline functionality to kconsole.
Arrows editing, history, tab completion.

597 6776 d 3 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Finer grained TLB invalidate functions for ia32 and amd64. Not yet deployed.
596 6776 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ kconsole cleanup.
Separate commands from the engine.

594 6776 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ ptlb command (currently usable on mips32 only).
587 6777 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Nasty hack for ppc32.
Main Makefile now passes -D$(ARCH) so that it is possible to have ugly architectural #ifdefs.

586 6777 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix ppc32 and sparc64 to compile again.
Fix sparc64 to function again.

585 6777 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ String constants without spaces are now supported by call commands.
For more we would need some lexer.
The call? commands are not compatibile with stdarg functions on AMD
architectures, because of the calling sequence.

582 6777 d 1 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/ Added calling of generic functions to kconsole.
581 6777 d 4 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Small debug changes.
578 6777 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added exception printing.
It does not work correctly on SMP architectures :-/
Preemption error....

575 6777 d 16 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added generic exc_register/exc_dispatch functions,
copied from ia32 architecture. Currently only mips32 uses them.

The chardev_t can now be both input & output device (was
needed for serial driver).

Broken other architectures - ia64, sparc, powerpc will not compile.

Mips32 supports input on all msim, gxemul, indy(tested emulation
in gxemul, loses characters), simics. Simics serial line
is done using polling, I was unable to make it produce
an interrupt when the key was pressed.

571 6778 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/include/ Missing braces.
By the way, new ALIGN_UP broke ppc32 (commits 564 vs. 565).

569 6778 d 17 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ sparc64 work.
Implement functions for reading IMMU and DMMU TLBs.

565 6779 d 17 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/include/ Improved ALIGN_UP.
564 6779 d 17 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Send in some improvements.
561 6779 d 23 h decky /kernel/trunk/ better way of placing revision, timestamp and arch in banner
557 6780 d 3 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add comments describing locking rules for some locks.
Cleanup.

553 6780 d 18 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/generic/include/synch/ Fix of compiling without SMP.
552 6780 d 18 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Named spinlocks
548 6780 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup and fixes.
539 6781 d 21 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Buddy allocator cleanup and fixes.
- Add some comments.
- Update zone information on frames allocation/deallocation.

538 6781 d 22 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Buddy allocator cleanup and fixes II.
- Rewrite IS_BUDDY_LEFT_BLOCK so that it does not need floating point on some architectures (e.g. IA-64).
- Get rid of IS_BUDDY_RIGHT_BLOCK.
- Make sparc64 use zone_create_in_region.

537 6781 d 23 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Buddy system cleanup and fixes.
- missing use of KA2PA in frame_init
- truncating black list addresses to frame boundaries
- removal of left-over obsolete structures
- fixing some comments

534 6782 d 21 h jermar / Rename HelenOS/SPARTAN to HelenOS/kernel again.
533 6782 d 21 h bondari /SPARTAN/trunk/ Buddy allocator for physical memory complete implementation.
Tested on IA32, AMD64, MIPS32. RWLock Test #5 is not passed.
NOTE: Other architectures could be broken (but should not be)

532 6782 d 21 h jermar / Revert renaming of HelenOS/SPARTAN to HelenOS/kernel because of important pending patch.
