2071 6364 d 20 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2068 6372 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Formatting and indentation fixes.
2067 6375 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ More formatting changes.

2048 6396 d 21 h jermar /trunk/ Formatting and indentation changes.
2042 6398 d 23 h decky /trunk/kernel/ introduce uncounted threads, whose accounting doesn't affect accumulated task accounting
run tests in kconsole thread again

2041 6399 d 1 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ revert 2040
2040 6399 d 3 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ add forgotten btree_remove()
2039 6399 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ accumulate task accounting, run tests as separate kernel task
2035 6400 d 1 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/ more fancy kconsole output
2032 6400 d 2 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ proper initialization of last_cycle
2030 6400 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/ thread CPU cycles accounting
2000 6415 d 5 h decky /trunk/kernel/ move files to more proper locations
1888 6489 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1882 6491 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Support for sparc64 FPU context.
1880 6493 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ Small improvements here and there.
1864 6500 d 17 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 update.
- Prototype userspace layer implementation that
at least relates to sparc64 and compiles cleanly.
- Fixes for kernel's preemptible_handler and code
related to running userspace.
- Enable userspace. Several dozen instructions
are now run in userspace! We are pretty near
the userspace milestone for sparc64.

1854 6506 d 5 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Define architecture-specific thread sub-constructors and sub-destructors on all architectures.
Define the THREAD_FLAG_USPACE which means that the thread runs in user space.
The forementioned changes allow for allocating of user window buffer on sparc64
threads that execute in userspace.

A lot of formatting and indentation fixes.

1839 6530 d 0 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ finish security context isolation
1820 6537 d 17 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ initial security context support
1787 6554 d 22 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6561 d 23 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1766 6570 d 6 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed frame_alloc call, cleaned a lot of stuff, fixed some not-perfectly-correct error handling.
1760 6573 d 0 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed interface of frame_alloc/free to use address of frame instead of the pfn.
This makes it impossible to use >4GB of memory on 32-bit machines, but who cares...

1757 6576 d 4 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup of comments.
1735 6578 d 5 h decky /kernel/trunk/ make kernel prints case consistent
1708 6580 d 5 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix some broken doxygen comments.
1705 6582 d 5 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1702 6583 d 2 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1687 6586 d 3 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Fix double thread_join() in ktaskgc.
In thread_create(), lock TASK with interrupts disabled again.
thread_join_timeout() can use ordinary waitq_sleep_timeout().

1684 6586 d 6 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ #ifdef more debugging printf()'s.
1680 6586 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Add interrupts_restore() to thread_join_timeout(). Note that this is not necessary, because
waitq_sleep_finish() does the job for thread_join_timeout(). However, the code looks more
correct in the form with interrupts_restore().

1676 6587 d 3 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Forgotten interrupts_restore().
1661 6588 d 7 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Collect Undead threads while waiting to join uinit.
Rename ktaskkill to ktaskgc.

1636 6589 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move comment.

Do TLB shootdown also when allocating new ASID.

1600 6590 d 7 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Prevent task killing of kernel by returning EPERM on such a request.
1597 6590 d 8 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added possibility to interrupt task at exit from interrupt routine.
1595 6590 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added kernel circular buffer klog.
Added automatic killing of tasks raising inappropriate exceptions.
TODO: Fix vsnprintf return value(and behaviour according to specs) and remove workaround in klog.

1589 6590 d 22 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Improve comments regarding liveliness of threads and tasks.
1588 6590 d 22 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ In task_kill(), remove the task from the tasks_btree before proceeding.
Thus, when the kernel finds the task in the tasks_btree and locks it before
releasing tasks_lock, it is guaranteed that the task will not be destroyed
until the lock is held. If the kernel needs to unlock the task, do some operation
and lock it again, it should increase its refcount before doing so. In that case,
when releasing the lock, it must decrement the refcount and if it reaches
zero, it must call task_destroy().
