2042 6371 d 8 h decky /trunk/kernel/ introduce uncounted threads, whose accounting doesn't affect accumulated task accounting
run tests in kconsole thread again

2041 6371 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ revert 2040
2040 6371 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ add forgotten btree_remove()
2039 6371 d 12 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ accumulate task accounting, run tests as separate kernel task
2035 6372 d 10 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/ more fancy kconsole output
2032 6372 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ proper initialization of last_cycle
2030 6372 d 13 h decky /trunk/kernel/ thread CPU cycles accounting
2000 6387 d 14 h decky /trunk/kernel/ move files to more proper locations
1888 6462 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1882 6463 d 12 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Support for sparc64 FPU context.
1880 6466 d 3 h jermar /trunk/ Small improvements here and there.
1864 6473 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 update.
- Prototype userspace layer implementation that
at least relates to sparc64 and compiles cleanly.
- Fixes for kernel's preemptible_handler and code
related to running userspace.
- Enable userspace. Several dozen instructions
are now run in userspace! We are pretty near
the userspace milestone for sparc64.

1854 6478 d 14 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Define architecture-specific thread sub-constructors and sub-destructors on all architectures.
Define the THREAD_FLAG_USPACE which means that the thread runs in user space.
The forementioned changes allow for allocating of user window buffer on sparc64
threads that execute in userspace.

A lot of formatting and indentation fixes.

1839 6502 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ finish security context isolation
1820 6510 d 1 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ initial security context support
1787 6527 d 6 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6534 d 8 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1766 6542 d 15 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed frame_alloc call, cleaned a lot of stuff, fixed some not-perfectly-correct error handling.
1760 6545 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Changed interface of frame_alloc/free to use address of frame instead of the pfn.
This makes it impossible to use >4GB of memory on 32-bit machines, but who cares...

1757 6548 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup of comments.
1735 6550 d 14 h decky /kernel/trunk/ make kernel prints case consistent
1708 6552 d 14 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix some broken doxygen comments.
1705 6554 d 13 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1702 6555 d 10 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1687 6558 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Fix double thread_join() in ktaskgc.
In thread_create(), lock TASK with interrupts disabled again.
thread_join_timeout() can use ordinary waitq_sleep_timeout().

1684 6558 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ #ifdef more debugging printf()'s.
1680 6559 d 1 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Add interrupts_restore() to thread_join_timeout(). Note that this is not necessary, because
waitq_sleep_finish() does the job for thread_join_timeout(). However, the code looks more
correct in the form with interrupts_restore().

1676 6559 d 11 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Forgotten interrupts_restore().
1661 6560 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/ Collect Undead threads while waiting to join uinit.
Rename ktaskkill to ktaskgc.

1636 6562 d 0 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Move comment.

Do TLB shootdown also when allocating new ASID.

1600 6562 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/proc/ Prevent task killing of kernel by returning EPERM on such a request.
1597 6562 d 16 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added possibility to interrupt task at exit from interrupt routine.
1595 6562 d 17 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added kernel circular buffer klog.
Added automatic killing of tasks raising inappropriate exceptions.
TODO: Fix vsnprintf return value(and behaviour according to specs) and remove workaround in klog.

1589 6563 d 6 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ Improve comments regarding liveliness of threads and tasks.
1588 6563 d 7 h jermar /kernel/trunk/generic/src/ In task_kill(), remove the task from the tasks_btree before proceeding.
Thus, when the kernel finds the task in the tasks_btree and locks it before
releasing tasks_lock, it is guaranteed that the task will not be destroyed
until the lock is held. If the kernel needs to unlock the task, do some operation
and lock it again, it should increase its refcount before doing so. In that case,
when releasing the lock, it must decrement the refcount and if it reaches
zero, it must call task_destroy().
