2020 6403 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/ integrate more tests
2019 6403 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/ prepare for new test infrastructure
2015 6405 d 13 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

2012 6408 d 11 h jermar /trunk/ Eliminate confusion between SYS_MAP_PHYSMEM and sys_physmem_map.
The syscall is to be called SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP from now on and the functions that participate in its implementation are
called *physmem_map().

2009 6410 d 12 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Initial support for handling illegal virtual aliases on sparc64.
2007 6413 d 11 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Introduce page colors. So far, only sparc64 uses correct page color bits. Other architectures have a dummy define
specifying zero bits for a page color.

There is a new check of page color in as_area_share(). Because of lack of support for this in the userspace, the
check has been #ifef'ed out.

1999 6416 d 23 h decky /trunk/ start RAM disk support
1981 6426 d 21 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentation, formatting and minor changes.
1972 6439 d 20 h jermar /trunk/ Modify selected function to consume less stack space.

Avoid flushw instruction in the sparc64 loader.

1954 6449 d 12 h jermar /trunk/ Minor changes. Some coding style fixes and also a type (tee vs. tree).
One AS -> as change.

1951 6453 d 15 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/include/mm/ Fix comma mistakenly removed in last commit.
1950 6453 d 16 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentation changes and coding style fixes in slab.c and slab.h.
1941 6457 d 16 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/ cleanup
1935 6458 d 0 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/ add function type
1933 6458 d 12 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ Implement efficient IPC notification cleanup.
1932 6458 d 13 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Do not copy notification config out of the IRQ structure.
Add the notify member, that toggles notifications on and off instead.
This is good for preventing other tasks from registering the notification
while the notification config is stored outside the IRQ structure.
It should also help to implement the cleanup code.

1929 6458 d 18 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ ipc_irq_send_msg(NULL, 0, 0, 0) is definitively a bug
1927 6458 d 19 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/ remove dummy definitions (which tent to lead to mysterious bugs)
1926 6458 d 23 h decky /trunk/kernel/ cleanup for new IRQ subsystem
1924 6459 d 12 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ For the sake of clarity, get rid of negative INR for virtual interrupts.
This way, the code can hurt performance on systems where the non-negative klog INR overlaps
with a frequently used INR such as system clock on amd64 and ia32.
