2042 6402 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/ introduce uncounted threads, whose accounting doesn't affect accumulated task accounting
run tests in kconsole thread again

2041 6402 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ revert 2040
2040 6402 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ add forgotten btree_remove()
2039 6402 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ accumulate task accounting, run tests as separate kernel task
2035 6403 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/ more fancy kconsole output
2032 6403 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/proc/ proper initialization of last_cycle
2031 6403 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/proc/ fix comment
2030 6403 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/ thread CPU cycles accounting
2027 6404 d 9 h decky /trunk/kernel/ cleanup kernel tests infrastructure
2026 6404 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/include/ipc/ Improve comment.
2025 6404 d 22 h jermar /trunk/ Coding style fixes.
2020 6405 d 2 h decky /trunk/kernel/ integrate more tests
2019 6405 d 3 h decky /trunk/kernel/ prepare for new test infrastructure
2015 6407 d 1 h jermar /trunk/ Rework support for virtually indexed cache.
Instead of repeatedly flushing the data cache, which was a huge overkill, refuse to create an illegal address alias
in the kernel (again) and allocate appropriate page color in userspace instead. Extend the detection also to
SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP syscall.

Add support for tracking physical memory areas mappable by SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP.

Lots of coding style changes.

2012 6409 d 23 h jermar /trunk/ Eliminate confusion between SYS_MAP_PHYSMEM and sys_physmem_map.
The syscall is to be called SYS_PHYSMEM_MAP from now on and the functions that participate in its implementation are
called *physmem_map().

2009 6412 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Initial support for handling illegal virtual aliases on sparc64.
2007 6414 d 23 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Introduce page colors. So far, only sparc64 uses correct page color bits. Other architectures have a dummy define
specifying zero bits for a page color.

There is a new check of page color in as_area_share(). Because of lack of support for this in the userspace, the
check has been #ifef'ed out.

2005 6416 d 6 h decky /trunk/ update rd
2004 6416 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/ cleanup
2002 6416 d 7 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/ rd work
2001 6417 d 22 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentation and comment fixes.
2000 6418 d 10 h decky /trunk/kernel/ move files to more proper locations
1999 6418 d 10 h decky /trunk/ start RAM disk support
1981 6428 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentation, formatting and minor changes.
1972 6441 d 7 h jermar /trunk/ Modify selected function to consume less stack space.

Avoid flushw instruction in the sparc64 loader.

1954 6451 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ Minor changes. Some coding style fixes and also a type (tee vs. tree).
One AS -> as change.

1951 6455 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/include/mm/ Fix comma mistakenly removed in last commit.
1950 6455 d 3 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Indentation changes and coding style fixes in slab.c and slab.h.
1941 6459 d 4 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/ cleanup
1935 6459 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/ add function type
1933 6460 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ Implement efficient IPC notification cleanup.
1932 6460 d 1 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Do not copy notification config out of the IRQ structure.
Add the notify member, that toggles notifications on and off instead.
This is good for preventing other tasks from registering the notification
while the notification config is stored outside the IRQ structure.
It should also help to implement the cleanup code.

1929 6460 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/src/console/ ipc_irq_send_msg(NULL, 0, 0, 0) is definitively a bug
1927 6460 d 6 h decky /trunk/kernel/generic/include/ remove dummy definitions (which tent to lead to mysterious bugs)
1926 6460 d 11 h decky /trunk/kernel/ cleanup for new IRQ subsystem
1924 6461 d 0 h jermar /trunk/kernel/generic/ For the sake of clarity, get rid of negative INR for virtual interrupts.
This way, the code can hurt performance on systems where the non-negative klog INR overlaps
with a frequently used INR such as system clock on amd64 and ia32.

1923 6461 d 0 h jermar /trunk/ Replace the old IRQ dispatcher and IPC notifier with new implementation.
Note that all architectures except for sparc64 are now broken
and don't even compile.

1922 6462 d 8 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ More IRQ stuff.
Modify the IRQ hash table functions to support lookup based on inr and devno.
Add method member to irq_t.

1921 6463 d 2 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Changes in ns16550 and z8530 drivers.
Add some stuff for IRQ notifications to irq_t.

1920 6463 d 10 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Move the new IRQ redirector to ddi/.
Add function for assigning unique device numbers.
Change sparc64/drivers/kbd.c to assign devno to keyboard.
