2071 6372 d 9 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
2057 6399 d 20 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Fix all remaining mistmatches in width of byte swapping functions for ia64,
ppc32, ppc64, amd64, mips32 and ia32.

2023 6409 d 10 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ add dummy cycle.h
2007 6419 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Introduce page colors. So far, only sparc64 uses correct page color bits. Other architectures have a dummy define
specifying zero bits for a page color.

There is a new check of page color in as_area_share(). Because of lack of support for this in the userspace, the
check has been #ifef'ed out.

2003 6420 d 14 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/ cleanup endian conversion macros
1980 6432 d 18 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/include/mm/ mips32 mm has not been under construction for while now
1955 6454 d 21 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/ timer_fnc -> virtual_timer_fnc
1949 6459 d 16 h jermar /trunk/kernel/arch/ Remove notes about automatically generated context_offset.h
and replace it with a proper copyright notice.

1948 6459 d 19 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Remove broken, outdated and unused gencontext.c utilities.
1936 6463 d 20 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/ mips32: update for new IRQ subsystem
1891 6493 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ sparc64 work:
- Experimental support for TSB (Translation Storage Buffer).

1890 6493 d 18 h jermar /trunk/ - Create a dedicated slab cache for as_t objects and switch from malloc/free to slab_alloc/slab_free for
them.

- Slightly fix and improve both the kernel and userspace atomic_add() on sparc64.

- More TSB work on the sparc64 front.

1889 6494 d 9 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Fix bug in mm/as.c:
- as_area_destroy() should not work with AS but as

sparc64 work:
- start implementing TSB support

1888 6497 d 12 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1882 6498 d 16 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Support for sparc64 FPU context.
1881 6499 d 17 h jermar /trunk/ sparc64 work:
- find a CPU node and read its clock_frequency attribute
- implement asm_delay_loop()
- set TICK_COMPARE register according to processor frequency
- small improvements at random places

OpenFirmware work:
- two new functions for walking the device tree

Generic boot loader work:
- added basic string functions

Usual pile of indentation and formatting fixes.

1854 6513 d 18 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Define architecture-specific thread sub-constructors and sub-destructors on all architectures.
Define the THREAD_FLAG_USPACE which means that the thread runs in user space.
The forementioned changes allow for allocating of user window buffer on sparc64
threads that execute in userspace.

A lot of formatting and indentation fixes.

1787 6562 d 11 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6569 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1776 6569 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/mips32/ Typos and indentation fixes for mips32 and some generic files as well.
1769 6572 d 8 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/ Change cache_error exception to take istate * as a parameter.
Make cache_error() print epc in the panic message.
Do not rely on the compiler to generate 'nop' after 'beq' in atomic_add()
and put it there explicitly.
Indentation fixes and cosmetic changes.

1731 6586 d 5 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Updates in Doxygen-style comments.
Make architecture specific modules appear conditionally in the documentation.
Add time management module.
Improve names of other modules and sort module order
to be more like in the design documentation.

1705 6589 d 18 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1702 6590 d 15 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1686 6593 d 19 h decky /kernel/trunk/ update mips32 boot loading API
1595 6597 d 22 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added kernel circular buffer klog.
Added automatic killing of tasks raising inappropriate exceptions.
TODO: Fix vsnprintf return value(and behaviour according to specs) and remove workaround in klog.

1587 6598 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ task_destroy() implementation, fixes in as_destroy() and task_kill().
This is the first version of HelenOS that would perform complete cleanup leading from thread to destruction of address space.

1511 6601 d 15 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/arch/ Remove __address from include file included by uspace
1474 6603 d 7 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added syscall that lets kernel regain access to keyboard.
1434 6606 d 11 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added 'realtime' clock interface.
Added some asm macros as memory barriers.
Added drift computing for mips platform.

1423 6607 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Update page fault handlers to distinguish between different access modes that had caused the page fault.
1293 6629 d 14 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Implemented mips memcpy (copy from gcc builtin memcpy).
1288 6629 d 18 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Complete implementation of copy_from_uspace() and copy_to_uspace()
for amd64 and ia32. Other architectures still compile and run,
but need to implement their own assembly-only memcpy(), memcpy_from_uspace(),
memcpy_to_uspace() and their failover parts. For these architectures
only dummy implementations are provided.
