4339 5588 d 9 h svoboda /branches/dynload/ Merge trunk changes up to r3802 to dynload.
3588 5755 d 16 h svoboda /branches/dynload/ Merge latest trunk changes into dynload.
3403 5815 d 18 h svoboda /branches/dynload/ Merge latest trunk changes into dynload
2927 5937 d 19 h decky /branches/dynload/ added dynload branch
2745 6015 d 17 h decky /trunk/ code cleanup (mostly signed/unsigned)
allow extra compiler warnings

2725 6036 d 15 h decky /trunk/kernel/ remove config.memory_size, get_memory_size() and memory_init.{c|d}
the amount of available memory can be calculated from the sizes of the zones
add FRAMES2SIZE, SIZE2KB and SIZE2MB functions/macros (code readability)

2722 6037 d 14 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/ convert ARC specific commands to generic ones
2720 6037 d 18 h decky /trunk/kernel/arch/mips32/src/mm/ prettyprint tlb command
2170 6348 d 7 h jermar /trunk/kernel/ Simplify synchronization in as_switch().
The function was oversynchronized, which
was causing deadlocks on the address
space mutex.

Now, address spaces can only be switched
when the asidlock is held. This also protects
stealing of ASIDs. No other synchronization
is necessary.

2071 6421 d 8 h jermar /trunk/ (c) versus (C)
1888 6546 d 12 h jermar /trunk/ C99 compliant header guards (hopefully) everywhere in the kernel.
Formatting and indentation changes.
Small improvements in sparc64.

1787 6611 d 10 h decky / move kernel/trunk, uspace/trunk and boot/trunk to trunk/kernel, trunk/uspace and trunk/boot
1780 6618 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Replace old __u?? types with respective C99 variants (e.g. uint32_t, int64_t, uintptr_t etc.).
1776 6618 d 14 h jermar /kernel/trunk/arch/mips32/ Typos and indentation fixes for mips32 and some generic files as well.
1735 6634 d 18 h decky /kernel/trunk/ make kernel prints case consistent
1705 6638 d 17 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Added file with modules definitions and descriptions.
We are able to change modules order and their description in one place.

1702 6639 d 14 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Kernel doxygen comments updated.
1595 6646 d 21 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added kernel circular buffer klog.
Added automatic killing of tasks raising inappropriate exceptions.
TODO: Fix vsnprintf return value(and behaviour according to specs) and remove workaround in klog.

1411 6659 d 12 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Modify the hierarchy of page fault handlers to pass access mode that caused the fault.
Architectures are required to pass either PF_ACCESS_READ, PF_ACCESS_WRITE or PF_ACCESS_EXEC
to as_page_fault(), depending on the cause of the fault.

1396 6662 d 9 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed mips to compile with fb (missing hw_map).
Fixed mips hw virt/phys addresses of fb.
Moved fb_init to post_mm, because it needs malloc().

1288 6678 d 17 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Complete implementation of copy_from_uspace() and copy_to_uspace()
for amd64 and ia32. Other architectures still compile and run,
but need to implement their own assembly-only memcpy(), memcpy_from_uspace(),
memcpy_to_uspace() and their failover parts. For these architectures
only dummy implementations are provided.

1196 6697 d 16 h cejka /kernel/trunk/ Printf ported back from uspace to kernel.
Printf calls changed to match new conventions.

1044 6728 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Page table locking.
983 6730 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Fixed shrinking of as area.
958 6731 d 9 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Nicer ia32 interrupt handlers and structures holding interrupted context data.
Unify the name holding interrupted context data on all architectures to be istate.

836 6759 d 6 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Added support for 24-bit framebuffer.
831 6762 d 13 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Make use of one unused bit in PTE formats of amd64, ia32 and mips32 to store 1 in valid mappings.
This helps to distinguish valid entries from not present entries with 0 content (i.e. not present
entries with PFN 0 and other bits cleared).

830 6762 d 15 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Make ASID FIFO for mips32 be allocated statically.
Make ASID FIFO for sparc64 and ia64 be allocated dynamically.
Fix ia64 to call asid_fifo_init().
All three architectures now call asid_fifo_init() from as_arch_init().

815 6764 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Fix sparc64 and ia64 to work with the changed frame allocator.

Fix ppc32 to at least compile.

814 6764 d 16 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Cleanup o frame allocator.
Removed early_malloc & initial heap.
Will break ia64, ppc & sparc.
Added e820 table print.

793 6766 d 14 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Use hash_table_get_instance instead of list_get_instance.
Rename page_operations to page_mapping_operations.
Rename page_pt_operations to pt_mapping_operations.
Rename page_ht_operations to ht_mapping_operations.

765 6770 d 8 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Add PAGE_WIDTH to aid divisions by PAGE_SIZE.
764 6770 d 13 h palkovsky /kernel/trunk/ Tested basic non-cached slab allocation.
760 6770 d 16 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ mips32 is not supposed to allocate page table.
This is done by the generic code now.
Remove PTL0 pointer as it is not needed.

Remove GET_PTL0_ADDRESS from kernel.

Update sparc64 comments in barrier.h.

756 6772 d 5 h jermar /kernel/trunk/ Memory management work.
Remove the last (i.e. 'root') argument from page_mapping_insert() and page_mapping_find().
Page table address is now extracted from the first (i.e. 'as') argument.
Add a lot of infrastructure to make the above possible.
sparc64 is now broken, most likely because of insufficient identity mapping of physical memory.
