2879 5892 d 23 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/include/libadt/ Add functions for inserting items before or after other items in a boubly-linked
circular lists.

2814 5920 d 2 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/include/ipc/ Fix missing arguments to ipc_call_sync_slow() in ipc_call_sync_4_x macros.
Contributed by Jiri Svoboda.

2798 5923 d 18 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Replace all endian.h in uspace with a copy of the kernel's respective byteorder.h.
2795 5924 d 18 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ Support of byte swapping in userspace.
2773 5943 d 6 h cejka /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ United headers using context_t in uspace.
2763 5948 d 22 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Support for rename().
2762 5948 d 22 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/include/ Add the definition of the EXDEV error code.
2759 5951 d 17 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ Add hash_table_destroy().
2755 5955 d 14 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Add support for relative paths: chdir() and getcwd().
2754 5955 d 14 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ Add strcat().
2753 5955 d 18 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Move canonify() to libc so that it can be used also on the libc side.
2735 5969 d 23 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Support for rmdir(), unlink() and the respective VFS operations.
2734 5970 d 0 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Support for close().
2733 5970 d 1 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Add TMPFS support for destroying leaf links in the file system namespace.
2708 5990 d 23 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ VFS_OPEN now understands O_CREAT and O_EXCL.
2707 5991 d 0 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Support for mkdir().
2705 5991 d 17 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ More elegant, flexible and complete version of tmpfs_lookup.
2699 5999 d 15 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Finish implementation of readdir(). Functions from this family are implemented
via using file descriptors for directories. For example, readdir() is
implemented as read() from an open directory. Of course, FS implementations
must understand that they are asked to read a directory and behave accordingly.

2694 6004 d 18 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ Add opendir(), rewinddir(), closedir() and some prototypes and stubs. Add dirent.h.
2693 6005 d 2 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Add ftruncate() and support for VFS_TRUNCATE to VFS and TMPFS.
2688 6009 d 18 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Make uspace rwlock API naming conventions consistent with kernel rwlock API.
2684 6011 d 19 h jermar /trunk/ Add libc and VFS implementation of lseek(), VFS_SEEK resp.
Add the size member to the VFS node structure (not yet initialized).

2682 6012 d 1 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Fix type in declaration of VFS node rwlock.
Introduce a dedicated type for futexes. Make the existing futex code use this
newly introduced type and fix formatting in futex.c.

2681 6012 d 2 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Turn the namespace futex into rwlock.
2680 6012 d 2 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Add basic rwlock API for uspace so that VFS can be designed/implemented using
this API. So far, the implementation of this API merely wraps futexes into
rwlocks. Real rwlocks are wanted by ticket #54.

Using the new rwlock API, replace the VFS node content futex with an rwlock.
Lock the contents rwlock as reader on reads and as writer on writes.

2678 6017 d 22 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ The IPC_M_SHARE_* and IPC_M_DATA_* calls pass through 3 stages. Rename the send,
receive and deliver wrappers to names ending with 'start', 'receive' and
'finalize', respectively. This should make it clearer for dummies.

2677 6017 d 22 h jermar /trunk/ Rename IPC_M_AS_AREA_SEND to IPC_M_SHARE_OUT. Rename IPC_M_AS_AREA_RECV to
IPC_M_SHARE_IN. Provide user-friendly wrappers for these methods so that even
dummies can get it right. Some applications using simpler protocols still use
these methods directly.

2676 6018 d 5 h jermar /trunk/ Simplify the IPC_M_DATA_WRITE protocol. Do not pass the source address space
virtual address to the recipient. This feature was not used anyway. Now
IPC_M_DATA_WRITE and IPC_M_DATA_READ are feature-aligned.

2674 6018 d 17 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Add libc VFS wrapper for VFS_WRITE. Fix a small bug in read(). Place open(),
read() and write() declarations in their respective headers according to SUSv3.

2671 6018 d 18 h jermar /trunk/uspace/lib/libc/ Add VFS wrappers for VFS_MOUNT, VFS_OPEN and VFS_READ to libc.
2670 6022 d 17 h jermar /trunk/uspace/ Move the open(), read() and write() provided by streams.c away so that
these functions won't clash with the real open(), read() and write(), which are
soon to be provided by a libvfs library. Applications can now use open_stdin(),
open_stdout(), read_stdin() and write_stdout(). Later, there might be an option
of providing a custom console file system, which will work similarly to how
streams' open(), read() and write() worked.
